I think you must have been watching a different meeting? there was plenty of passing from where I was watching the meeting?

The consistency of the 'gate' positions are always up for question...but it also has a lot to do with how the rider handles the first 2 bends on approach! (there was a race win from each gate last night...albeit only 1 from gate 3 :) )

If riders did/do a track walk, then they would've seen where the dirt was/wasnt? they wouldn't need to have to ride it to find out?

Pawlicki going down gave BV a 2nd bite of the cherry, had he stayed on B'ham would still have won! ....may be he thought that the race would be awarded?

Would like to know why it wasnt? the refereeing has been poor this season! Why no warning for Kurtz moving at the start?

Hoping Brennan/Worrall can pass a bit of 'track set-up' knowledge, when B'ham visit BV next week!

I thought you said multiple times the weather would win?

A poor display from BV last night. The best team won.

If taking it to a last heat decider away from home, was a poor display....God help all the other teams if/when BV get it together!

B'hams reserves were the difference!

If there's dirt on the track and an outside line, then I back B'ham to win!

I also said this at 8.07 am !

Did anybody else on this thread back a Bham win ???

Wasnt going to mention it...but as you've brought it up...I'll bask in the ambience ! :D

Poor meeting from Belle Vue's point of view, Kurtz & Blodorn aside.

Lidsey, Cook and Bewley (especially) will have to be more consistent if the Aces are to have any impact this season. They'll be fine at home, but away they are sadly lacking.

Well done to Birmingham though, well deserved. Like others, I can't understand why heat 15 wasn't awarded - potentially a totally unfair result if Bewley had turned left a bit harder in the rerun.

That's a tad unfair on Cook, 7 points is a good return from a second string away...

What sort of attendances are they getting? They said they were down to 400 last year! Hopefully a few Wolves, Cradley and Cov fans will bolster the crowds.

I doubt that it was as low as 400, but attendances this year are quite considerably up. I don't know the figure.

Hopefully with the new averages out tomorrow it'll give you guys a bit more scope to rearrange the team riding order as Milik has been hopelessly out of his depth riding at Number 1. Whether the management will have the nous to get the riding order more balanced is another question though.

Who's gonna go at number 5 now? No obvious "second heat leader". I might've put Lampart there, to leave Worrall, Brennan & Z.Cook where they will score points?

Mind you Lampart will be replacing Milik at 6 very soon anyway.

Assuming they're going to work with what they've got, I'd probably go:

1 Pawlicki

2 Lampart

3 Milik

4 Brennan

5 Worrall

6 Cook

7 Flint

I think Dan read this before heat 15 and in my opinion you were both wrong.
Birmingham played it correct track wise but it made for very poor viewing. Glad a few diehards enjoyed it though.

You stick to Poland, I'm very happy with the product here, great meeting last night and really pleased the Brummies did it :)

Yep I will and not all Polish matches are good but the riders rarely back off and try a lot harder than the average rider in the the UK because the team place is on the line and I mean in the UK the average not the professionals of whom you have a handful who work hard and know the sport does not owe them a living. However you can have so much fun winding up speedway followers on here and frankly no one other than a few hundred on this forum really cares about the sport in the UK. It is what it should be, four riders battling over four laps for supremacy but the rules and the promoters have done the best to make it something it is not, the t v presentation is second rate, the crowds are poor on televised matches, no atmosphere and this means that the combination does not  do speedway justice and those who run the sport have driven it into the ground. Tracks are abandoned by the BSPL and those that could run in the NDL are kicked in the teeth (IOW and Kent) and yet those in charge think everything is wonderful. When they can match the presentation and fan base that engenders a marketable product then you will see the sport rise from its nadir until then the decline in followers will continue.

Add to the above  the latest diktat re Mildenhall and when they run and it shows that the few really are screwing any would be promoter. Time for a break away group who are more than capable of providing weekly entertainment and let the dross fall on the sword.
