Ipswich v Sheffield April 25th

Recommended Posts

Hoping to be there for this - reserves and the Holder brothers will be key - Gilkes rode very well last week but i expect Foxhall will be a tougher ask for him. We know historially the Holders dont go that well at Foxhall but if they do that might tip this in Sheffields favour, Emil and Doyley need to be at their best too. I expect Adam will be out to prove a point also.

Expect a narrow home win say 46-44 - this will be a test oif both sides aspirations for the play-offs / title.

If there is any comeback from Doyles no show last night id expect that to be next week now also.

We will go to Ipswich to get a win.

But Richie Hawkins has already alluded that they will set the track up to be grippy which probably won't suit us, which is up to the home team.

For me as long as we get the bonus point from Ipswich then I will be happy, so hopefully we can keep as tight as possible.

51-39 home win, Ipswich reserves will outscore Sheffield reserves by at least 6 points, we know both Holder’s aren’t keen on Foxhall, Pickering and Howarth very hit and miss around here also, Woffinden the only Sheffield rider to hit double digits.

After his indifferent start to the season - based on his usual astronomic standards - I’m expecting a big score from Emil tonight… should be a comfortable home win, but maybe not enough of a lead to make the bonus point interesting for the return

What's the weather in Ipswich as had some rain other side of Colchester?

I live 6 miles north of Ipswich and there has only been a little bit of light rain. However, I went into Ipswich about half three and it was much wetter.

The sky looks brighter now so fingers crossed that we should be OK.

There’s two tracks we’re crap on, Belle Vue and Sheffield. Ellis is our new recruit but even he doesn’t ride either well, much better on the smaller tracks.
