Shaleshifter
Weather permitting, this Wednesday Pirates take on the Monarchs in the K.o.c cup quarter9 final 1st Leg. Due to rain offs this is only our second meeting of the season since the big home win over Oxford on Good-Friday. Looking at both teams 1-7 I feel that Poole have the edge. Edinburgh have Josh Picketing back leading the team backed up by Justin Sedgmen, a good top two. Kye Thomsom being the third heat leader. I feel that Poole have a stronger top three with Richard, Ben and Tom. The Monarchs have Paco Castagna and Lasse Fredriksen as second strings and the Pirates have Zach Cook and Tobias Thomsen. If Tobias has a good meeting to back up Zach than hopefully they Wiil out point the two Monarchs. This leaves the reserve pairings. Sam Hagon and Max Perry for Poole against Connor Coles and Max James for the Monarchs. Personally I think Sam has the beating of both of them and Max Perry should at least see off Max James. Home win for Poole not sure by how many points but enough for us to take up to Armadale for the second leg. Thoughts? Tobias scored a decent 11 points in Denmark today so should be on it on Wednesday. 53-37 I reckon

szkocjasid
Poole 99% certanties to go through for me. Only question is will they win both legs?
Mr Blobby
I think we’ll do well to get 35. Coles seems to be on a scooter so far this season and Kye seems to have started the season like he finished last which isn’t great. Sedgy and Josh fairly decent round Poole, paco had a good meeting when last there. Lasse you’re never sure what you’re getting. Just need to hope we can keep it somewhat respectable so the 2nd is still going to be competitive rather than a pointless exercise.
Bagpuss
60+ for Poole I'd have thought.

Josh and Paco should enjoy the extra banking that is at Poole atm. Sedgy normally has good first few rides until H13. Coles and Kye have had a good odd race at Poole but not consistently (although Kye did get 9+1 at Poole last year in the league meeting!) Haven't seen Max James race before, so that will be interesting.

In the August meeting last season he was hugging the air fence in a few of his races. See what he does Weds.

PTW
Can see Poole being between 55-60 tonight to strong in every department

Paco and Kye are better at Poole than Heeps and JJ, so don't think it will be 60 again. Only if Coles struggles I guess.
Mr Blobby
max James falls when Hagon fell off trying to avoid him. That’s a shocking decision by the ref what does he want him to do run him over. Standard of refereeing this year has been nothing short of a disgrace. Edited April 24 by Mr Blobby
jbell1995
Really not sure continuing the meeting without red trackside lights is a good look for the sport. Doesn't sit right with me that, not saying anyone is to blame but safety must be paramount and only using the tower exclusion lights is dangerous particularly for flag marshals away from the home straight
