Yearbyred
The BBC sold off their weather forecasting to the highest bidder, which going on its usual accuracy was some bloke who looks at of his window and guesses. I stopped using it ages ago. This seems like a very dodgy decision to me (and I’m not associated with either club)
GeneralMelchett
Well - right now its raining a fair bit where I am in Sheffield - so the big question is - is it raining in KL?

Tiddling down in chesterfield too.Do wish these amateur weather forecasters would get off their clubs back a bit and give them the benefit of the doubt.

It's not the amateur weather forecasters you need to worry about Look at what the professionals say! https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/u12k15uws#?date=2024-04-

Meeting was not being staged in Chesterfield... treat yourself to a map book from the money you've saved yourself by not going tonight. stevehone
Buster used to get much more detailed forecasts from RAF Marham, so maybe they’re expecting some more localised issues. But if there’s been cars on an already wet track it certainly doesn’t help
Haza
No rain here in South Lincolnshire as of yet I’m 20 miles from the track

Of course, Kings Lynn could just end all the speculation by showing the track and the forecast they are relying on.

Haza
Problem KL has over the years since Buster has owned the club there has been many dodgy call offs and that’s why fans doubt the reasons they are told - it may well rain tonight in which case it was a good call but it was called off yesterday which is rather early - Lynn can’t afford a other home defeat that’s for sure maybe that’s the reason but either way these iffy call offs have to stop .
IainB
All of this cancelling meetings shenanigans needs setting down in the rules in some way, there's far too much of it going on by many clubs in all leagues Edited April 22 by iainb

I think it's all because of the flights/foreign leagues etc....it seems a call off based on the forecast, is far more prominent in the Premiership, as opposed to the other 2 British Leagues? You're right there have been a good few ,but to be fair, on the flip side there have been numerous times when Buster has bust a gut to re lay the track only for riders to refuse to go out, so in one respect I can sort of get it Still not raining though Update at 18.55. 8 miles away and we've got some light drizzle. That'll do it then Edited April 22 by castrolargh Update

JoeW436
Thoughts are with everyone in the Kings Lynn area this afternoon, hopefully the rain is not as torrential as predicted.
