There must be something going on, I can't imagine it's Basso & Puk being absent as the two guests looked good. There must be riders from either (both) teams who can't/won't travel from Poland or something. All very odd.

Unless they are privy to a forecast that nobody else is but that seems highly unlikely.

Totally agree. There must be something going on behind the scenes. The form Tom is in, he should of covered for Ben. While Puk has scored 9 points from 2 meetings, with 5 of them coming from 2 heat 8's. Lawson was a big improvement. The mind boggles.

Klindt will fit for MPT or Paddy before our next scheduled home meeting in early May. But no better than Lawson for Puk tomorrow

A change/changes coming 1st May I think… they may be wanting to wait until then? Still very strange

Stinks of we’re going to get stuffed so call it off and we’ll have better riders in team next time we meet

Exactly this, especially after the result on Thursday at Sheffield. The club is a shambles but unfortunately the governing body that lets them get away with it are also a shambles.

It'll be interesting to see if it rains tomorrow! Given how off the pace they generally were on Thursday its seems extremely convenient.

Met office currently has no rain for tomorrow whilst another one suggests 'drizzle' - considering Sheffield ran with the threat of rain (with some in the afternoon and then later in the meeting) last Thursday this seems very pre-emptive!

I might be in the minority, with Tom in for Ben Basso, is a like for like with the form Toms in. NKI has started the season really bad. Lawson is a big improvement. It was going to strengthen us. I think there might be something else going on.

Has there been a stockcar meeting at the track by any chance this weekend?

Yes, that was part of the ,ahem, excuse, for cancelling.  Rain forecast tomorrow meaning no time to prepare the track after stock cars

The latest announcement on the BSPL website mentions a stock car meeting but it was only smaller Banger classes plus 2L and 1300 Saloons not the big F1 cars which do rip up a track. Unless the track was very wet before the racing started it should not have suffered anything that could not be put right in 24 hours.

This decision really is indefensible, even if Lynn have found a forecast that doesn't look good (BBC) the fact that another (Met Office) shows a lovely day, means one of the forecasts has to be wrong. So with that level of doubt, they can't just choose to follow the forecast of their choice. The only option is to race the meeting - unless a thunderstorm comes first!
