This is a forum... I think...

Anyway well done to Workington speedway firstly on the result. But also to your promotion who have unearthed two potential gems from obscurity.

Redcar - Wright and Edwards apart meh!

Good meeting well as always at Redcar.

Great win for the Comets, especially after a dodgy start. Once the newbies got dialled in there was no stopping them. Cook did well to get his head back in the game after his pre-meeting comments and Batch on it too.

What were cook pre meeting comments?

He had a face on him like a slapped arse, said the track was iffy, something about they should get Swales back to do it and then just walked off and had to be dragged back by Roynon to do the coin toss... real inspirational Captain stuff!

First of all well done to the Comets on a fully deserved win after a really poor start. Rode like a team thy wanted to show those who had written them off that they were wrong.

Really impressed with the new riders, Zischke in particular and Liebmann showed she deserved to be riding at this level. Hope she’s ok after her fall.

For the Bears it was a worrying performance , both Wright and King were not at their very best and the rest of the team look inconsistent. Yes it’s very early in the season but think we could be in for a tough year even at home.

Watched for first time on BSN stream, twelve quid but well worth it with a couple of pints for company.  Well done to all riders, track looked a bit rough early doors but got better later on, could've been more comfortable but for the tape touch and one or two mechanical gremlins.  Heat leaders all performed, as did Tate and Ant (they were just unlucky that there scores didn't reflect their efforts), Celina looked on pace, still doubts about Sam at this level though.

Well done to Worky - both Cook and Batchelor clearly fancied it tonight which is not always the case. Both looked good. Tate took to the track straight away and Vissing was excellent. Celina battled hard and deserved her points.

Worrying start for the Bears but not panic stations yet. Charles was good I thought but lacked any real support - thought King looked poor. Bailey did OK, but after a good first ride Knudsen was disappointing. Thought Edwards was good.

Track a bit slick but understandable with the amount of rain over the last few weeks. Not sure if it is too early to get on the blower to Mr Riss.

Enjoyable entertaining meeting on Redcar's excellent track. Well done to Workington on a great comeback. Looks like an interesting team with a lot of potential.

Great to see Cookie back to something like his old self after the horrible end to his 2023 season. I think making him captain is a good idea, he was a really good captain for Edinburgh the last time we won the League.
