That’s so unprofessional.

It isn’t the end of the world, but in the modern climate, you would expect the reigning league champions to be at least slightly engaging on social media.

Its bizarre because Glasgow have got so much right; the team on the track, the stadium, the commercials, etc.

For Edinburgh to be the ones forthcoming with information regarding our guest is amateur.

Alas, the world will continue despite such travesties and catastrophes. Let’s hope the rain doesn’t ruin our evening.

F*ck off, rain. Thanks.

Have to agree, Glasgow could easily have announced their team earlier, even if they don't want to comment on the Complin situation, can merely mention they have a guest.

You'd expect the home team to be keen to post the match preview well enough in advance to drum up some interest.

trying to shed a bit more light on the Lee Complin saga . i have been informed that if a rider obtains any sort of pain relief from a chemist  he HAS to inforn the SCB ? what the medicatin is  and he will be told if the medicane/drugs he is going to take will have any banned substances.

all riders know this rule and could face any form of hidden problems with that medicane

Lee has either not known or just forgot about informing the proper people .

hope he gets sorted out ih his favour  because  he is a very entertaining rider

the source is genunine and its not the HP  one..  if anyone has heard of this rule , please feel free to comment on this . thank you .

After 4 riders getting banned over the last 18 months, you'd expect all riders to be more aware of what they can & can't take / what to inform the authorities of etc.

If it's a case of Complin being prescribed medication but not informing the SCB, he'd have to get some sort of suspension I guess. Maybe it'll just be "timed served" by the time the hearing is over he'll be able to return?

Another suggestion for riders, who need pain killers to compete, don't ride till you are fit, you're team will be allowed a guest.

Seems it, shouldn’t need the extra track time to beat us surely.

Not as good a comeback as Jan Blobby, I was obviously being facetious regarding being petrified

SCB confirm positive test

Complin banned for 30 days.

Guest facility for 28 days

I hope so. It would seem the sensible approach. Possibly a fine to cover hearing costs. I hope it’s no more, because it does sound like a genuine mistake, so it would be a shame if it were punitive.

One small addendum is Lee is suspended for 30 days pending his hearing where any further punishment may or may not be given.

So the 30 day suspension is potentially not final punishment.

I’m not convinced that riders are compelled to notify SCB if they’re taking prescription medications. My understanding was that they had to notify testers of any prescription meds only if randomly selected and before giving a test. I can’t see that, as a matter of routine, riders being forced to disclose antibiotics, or, nowadays, the contraceptive pill.
