No need for “tinted glasses “ at Ipswich. They actually make an effort to get meetings on. They uploaded photos from mid afternoon last year of the track literally under water, but worked their boll0cks off to get the meeting on by 7.30. Same last week, heavy showers on and off all day, if that had been Norfolk you could guarantee it would have been called, but not at Ipswich. The like of Bagpuss who seems to defend his club to the death need to call out his club for once. They’re currently a pathetically ran Speedway club who need a dry week and completely dry forecast on race day to let a meeting go ahead, seemingly because they can’t be @rsed doing any track work if any rain falls. Stop trying to defend the indefensible. If it’s not the weather it’s telling lies about broken pit gate locks because half your team is away on Danish duty. Pathetic club, Lynn fans should be embarrassed.

There has been an identical forecast in Ipswich as Norfolk for today. Early morning torrential rain flooded the roads, forecast is off and on showers for the rest of the day. Have Ipswich called it off? No. It may well get postponed if and when more rain falls, but you can guarantee that when it gets called there was zero chance of it going ahead. But that won’t prove Lynn correct and Ipswich wrong. Ipswich are simply prepared to do all it takes and work hard to get a meeting on, Lynn clearly can’t be bothered!!!

Sadly, we have been forced to postpone tonight's fixture against Leicester at Foxhall
Too much rain has fallen late this afternoon for the track to dry out
A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course …

That post was around 6pm  on the Ippo FB page. With  away fans probably on their way. Riders there ? I thought they would of tried until at least 7.30 to get the track rideable, if not raceable?

So difficult to time these decisions.  I tried to inform my 2 friends as soon as possible but they had just arrived after over 2 hours travelling. They were chuffed to bits ..of course!! :o

Just checked BSPL and Speedway Updates. Speedway Updates say the meeting is OFF but BSPL website still showing the meeting as going ahead after Ipswich announced the meeting was off on Facebook over half an hour ago. Not very impressive.

It is showing it as on with a preview of the meeting but on the same website the fixture list has been showing it as off for quite a while now, as you say not very impressive

And the A14 moved a bloody site more freely on the way home compared to on the way there.  Mile after mile of cones and, you guessed it, no bugger working!
