Witches v Lions KOC 2nd Leg April 4th

Recommended Posts

I'd expect a home win and progress in the cup for the Witches - however I reckon Leicesters top 5 will be keen to have a go and most ride Foxhall pretty well. Won't be there but should be a good match!

Doyle and Emil will score all the points for witches as usual, but my money is on the lions by a whisker ,will be another ball tearer in more ways than one

Only four points for him last week, so Witches fans will be hoping that was a blip :)

Masters always goes well at Foxhall and Douglas had a couple of good visits there last season, but I think the Witches will pick up most of the heat wins in this meeting, so can't see them being troubled...

The reserves will win it for Ipswich I think, with Doyle going unbeaten.

I agree. Jason, Emil and Dan will almost get Ipswich over the line without the others having to make great contributions.

Any local weather would be appreciated. Every other club (yesterday and today) have called off their meetings. Just hope Ipswich haven't got their rise tinted glasses on.

Six miles north of Ipswich - A heavy shower at 8am for 30 minutes but dry since.

No need for “tinted glasses “ at Ipswich. They actually make an effort to get meetings on. They uploaded photos from mid afternoon last year of the track literally under water, but worked their boll0cks off to get the meeting on by 7.30. Same last week, heavy showers on and off all day, if that had been Norfolk you could guarantee it would have been called, but not at Ipswich. The like of Bagpuss who seems to defend his club to the death need to call out his club for once. They’re currently a pathetically ran Speedway club who need a dry week and completely dry forecast on race day to let a meeting go ahead, seemingly because they can’t be @rsed doing any track work if any rain falls. Stop trying to defend the indefensible. If it’s not the weather it’s telling lies about broken pit gate locks because half your team is away on Danish duty. Pathetic club, Lynn fans should be embarrassed.

There has been an identical forecast in Ipswich as Norfolk for today. Early morning torrential rain flooded the roads, forecast is off and on showers for the rest of the day. Have Ipswich called it off? No. It may well get postponed if and when more rain falls, but you can guarantee that when it gets called there was zero chance of it going ahead. But that won’t prove Lynn correct and Ipswich wrong. Ipswich are simply prepared to do all it takes and work hard to get a meeting on, Lynn clearly can’t be bothered!!!

I certainly don't defend my club 'to death', I've criticised them plenty in the past for poor teams and poor racing, which weve had plenty of. The main difference is the dirt used at Lynn, its high in clay for the stocks and certainly isn't my cup of tea and with a decent amount of rain on it it soon becomes unridable. And as has been said on that thread I don’t think flying loads of riders in with a dodgy forecast to not ride two weeks running was going to happen,

But there we are, it's all about opinions at the end of the day :)

I remember a situation, not sure how long ago, when Buster spent ages on the Lynn track to get it ready, but riders refused to race (fans already in the stadium). So perhaps he's had a change of attitude towards what sort of tracks riders will race on.

I won't criticise a club for calling a meeting off early, as of they get it wrong, that's far more preferable than letting the fans on for no racing.
