TTT
Why on earth would the higher ups place Oxford to ride on a date where they wouldn't have a No.1?

They would obviously see that as Oxford's problem. This kind of thing will inevitably keep happening whilst British clubs include foreign riders. Poland pay the money, so we can't blame the riders for opting to ride there. Birmingham would have had the same problem if Pawlicki had not been injured and temporarily replaced by Scott Nicholls. Hmmmm, I feel a conspiracy theory coming on?

SamKM91
Nicholls will be gone as soon as Pawlicki comes, probably Nicholls’ last meeting today
Technik
This could go either way, Oxford of course with R/R at #1 is a big cross to bare. Milik showed good form in the SEC event at the weekend & with Nicholls at reserve it might just tip in Birmingham's favour. All things considered home win by 4 points
stevebrum
Disappointed no Janowski or Pawlicki for my first meeting of the season. Hope the weather stays kind.
szkocjasid
Tough to call, Birmingham could get a 6 point win & the bonus, but I also wouldn't be surprised with an Oxford victory.
szkocjasid
Terrible team managing imo to give Kerr the r/r outing in heat 5. What if Klindt comes good? Now one of Oxford's top 4 doesn't get an extra ride. No harm in using Klindt, if he turns out to be terrible, then Kerr can always replace him once or twice later on! There's no risk of getting it wrong using Klindt, there is using Kerr, especially odd as Kerr lost a 5-1 in heat 2, I'd understand it (but disagree with it) if Kerr had won his first heat. Maybe he was selected so as to give an option of senior rider in Ht13. with Harris already used & Tungate already in 13 it means the only rider left or the reserve in the hardest race. It might be a stroke of genius or you maybe right eithr way we're not paid to make the decision.

That's why I questioned it, using a reserve early on gives them less options later on. Obviously in this case didn't harm them. But if I was Klindt I'd be saying, "I scored above my average away from home, why didn't I deserve an extra ride?"
