The Comics have pulled out all the stops in signing 3 bonafide superstars in Cook, Vissing and Batchelor and a superstar in the making in Celina Liebmann and the Bandits will have there work cut out to be lifting the Border Trophy aloft come Sunday night.

The mighty Bandits however are looking extra tough this season with 3 proven heat leaders in Kerr, Schlein and Etheridge and a quartet of young and up and coming superstars to back them up.

Tickets are available on the night at £20 or at the discounted price of £18 at berwickspeedway.com/tickets

What a way to start the season, you won’t want to miss this.

At a risk of attracting howls of disapproval, can I just say that, for an adult who wants to sit, under cover, to watch speedway, Berwick are offering the best deal in the Championship.        Especially when you take the 10% early-bird discount.       Only £18 -- and you could bring a couple of young teenagers in with you free.

I'm not going to list all the other clubs' prices -- that's their business -- but the Jewson Bandits are certainly offering the best deal around this year.

Oh, and parking's free, too...........
