Charles Wright -2 vs Tom Brennan

Tom's scores at Oxford last year were 6 (4), 7 (4) and 3 (5), so it makes me feel like there's a good chance for this one.
Charles only had one league appearance there in 2023, scoring 9 from 6, although he did make the final of the pairs with Redcar, scoring 21 out of a possible 24.

Rohan Tungate -2 vs Vaclav Milik

Oxford's press and practice being held yesterday should, in theory, help The Spires improve their home advantage. And Rohan Tungate could make the most of this, coming back to the UK arguably better than ever. He's recently been crowned Australian Champion. He also displayed a very solid season in Poland's 1 Liga last year to help Zielona Gora gain promotion back to the Ekstraliga, while also finishing 7th in the averages.

Bet 365 is the only one really

Unibet offer Polish top flight, Swedish, GP and World Cup also.

Bet365 offer all of the above, plus the UK Premiership and Polish Liga1 and the televised Liga2 match usually plus individuals.

A few thoughts on tonight meetings, obviously with no form to go on so far stakes will be at a minimum

Leicester v Kings Lynn

Think this is the easiest of the 3 meetings tonight to call and think Leicester will easily run out winners, i think by 12-14 points. The Lions retaining 4 riders who all go well plus the addition of the 3 ex wolves who in Masters and Douglas appear to love the track they should easily be hitting 50 odd points. For the Stars, Musielak has only visited once recently but shown he can get double figures, Niels also has shown good speed around their at times and appeared to be on the gas at Belle Vue monday, but the rest are not only hit and miss on their day they also hardly shown anything inspiring around Leicester in recent times.

So Leicester should overcome the -4 handicap and should be ahead at heat 8. Musielak over 9, as i expect him to have 6 rides, and Masters over 8.  Think Lawson at +1 over NKI is also a play.

Oxford v Sheffield

Think the fact that Oxford have had a meeting already and the fact the Sheffield heat leaders have never ridden the track means Oxford will probably get off to an early lead, that the Tigers may just fail to pull back, also think Tungate and Klindt will fair a little better than last week and sure Lewis will be eager to put one over many of his former team mates. It could well be a case that Sheffield require to use a tactical early on but could be down to a last heat decider so no play on the overall meeting result, but will take Oxford at -2 at Heat 8. Only other bet is for Klindt to outscore pickering

Ipswich v Belle Vue

With the absence of Doyley I dont see how Ipswich can with this, unless Rew and Ellis have improved dramatically on last seasons performances. Emil and Danny King will keep it close, but have a feeling Emil will need to be hitting 18 points. As Bet 365 have generously, IMHO, given BV a 4 pt start i'll certainly be backing that along with BV being ahead with a 4pt handicap at heat 8 also. In the expectation of Emil having 6 rides I've backed him to cover the -2 handicap over Brady and the the +1 for Bewley over Scotty looks a gift. Also on the assumption Adam Ellis hasn't massively improved on last season I'll back him to score under 6. He scored 7 on both visits last year, consistently finishing ahead of Bellego, an Ipswich reserve and anyone else who fell off

IPSWICH v BELLE VUE

DANNY KING OVER 9 @ 11/10 (Should get 5 rides tonight and he's riding with Rew instead of Ellis)

LEICESTER v KING'S LYNN

LEICESTER -4.0 @ 5/6 (I may look stupid by 9:45PM tonight but I don't see how KL get close to Leicester tonight considering the Lions have 4 track specialists in the 1-5)

RICHARD LAWSON +1 vs. N K Iversen @ 1/1 (Lawson is being underrated here imo, His Home Average in 2023 was over 7.00 and that was riding as a HL, Now he's at No.2)

SAM MASTERS OVER 8 @ 10/11 (Scored 14 & 9 as a No.1 around Leicester last year, After a few years as a No.1 in the Premiership he's now back riding in the engine room so he should have a good season starting from tonight)

RYAN DOUGLAS OVER 9 @ 13/10 (Track specialist who wins races for fun around Leicester as proven in 2023)

OXFORD v SHEFFIELD

J. HOLDER UNDER 10 @ 6/5, C. HOLDER UNDER 7 @ 6/5 and T. WOFFINDEN UNDER 11 @ 1/1 (None of them have even done a lap around Oxford so they're bound to drop points, Fancy Championship D/UP's to take more than a fair share of points off the HL's tonight on both sides considering they've got more track knowledge around Oxford)

I'm also chucking £6 on a TREBLE @ 13/2 (BELLE VUE, LEICESTER and OXFORD to win)

I would've backed Ipswich but without Doyle I don't see how bet365 come up with the short price of 2/5 for them to win, Nicholls has to get 13+ to cover for Doyle therefore I feel like Belle Vue are worth chancing at 21/10.

All of my bets are LOW STAKE bets tonight due to it being early in the season, Riders may need a few meetings to get back into the groove.

5-4 on the night (Small Profit) Basically the Lidsey losses back from the Craven meeting.

I'll take that considering it's always iffy early in the season due to rustiness and the weather.

Hope you all had some winners tonight.

Bad loss that bet.

Not sure what to make of the Tigers this year now tbh, More than alarming to be 10 points down after 4 Heats to a Brummies side that's built way under the limit.

It is early but racking up L's against teams who aren't even fancied for the play-offs is a cause for concern imo.

Home form alone won't see teams into the play-offs this year because almost everyone will go unbeaten at Home.

My reply was just to this meeting, and the bet.
