tomazpozrl
Heat 1: Allen, Pijper, Stange, Lyngso Allen from the gates and nicely passed Pijper on the first bend. He went on to win with a big margin. Lyngso looked very poor. Heat 2: Zagar, Klingberg, Neath, Martin Zagar excellent from the gates and wins easily. Klingberg in 2nd place, Neath was following him very closely all 4 laps, but was not fast enough to pass Swede. Heat 3: Ruud, Stojs, Fisher, Vargek Ruud and Fisher equally from the gates but Ruud is quicker from the 2nd bend. Ruud, Fisher and Stojs very close to each other for 2 laps, but then Fisher made a mistake, went very wide which allowed Stojs to pass him. Heat 4: Santej, Ferjan, Moller, Ljung Santej very fast from the gates and passed Ferjan on the outside. Ferjan was then attacking Santej all 4 laps, a couple of time it looked as if he made it pass Santej, but just couldn't do it. Ljung very poor. Heat 5: Santej, Klingberg, Pijper, Vargek Santej again excellent from the gates, Klingberg was close behind but made a mistake on 3rd bend of lap 1, which almost allowed Pijper to pass Niklas. Heat 6: Moller, Stojs, Stange, Martin Moller from the gates, Stojs right behind but never really a threat to Danish rider. All 4 riders had problems with difficult track. Heat 7: Zagar, Ferjan, Fisher, Lyngso Ferjan fastest from the gates, but Zagar in his own style on the outside passed Ferjan easily and won with big margin. Fisher again had problems with the track. Heat 8: Ljung, Neath, Allen FX, Ruud FX 1st attempt : Ruud excellent from the gates and took the lead but then fell on 3rd bend -> excluded. 2nd attempt : This time Ljung in the lead, Neath in 2nd and Allen in 3rd place. Then Neath made a mistake, Allen went pass him. In 3rd bend of 2nd lap Ljung made a mistake and almost stopped in the middle of the curve, Allen came from behind and hit him hard. In a spectacular crash both riders were Ok, but their bike obviously not. Allen excluded from re-run. 3rd attempt : Neath from the gates but he had big problems on the track and Ljung was close waiting for Neath's mistake. It came on the last bend and Ljung passed him. Heat 9: Ljung, Pijper, Fisher, Martin Ljung from the gates, Fisher on the outside for 1,5 laps tried to pass Ljung. Pijper on the inside all the time and finally managed to pass Fisher on 2nd lap. Theo then very close to Ljung but couldn't pass him. Heat 10: Ruud, Klingberg, Ferjan, Stange From the gates. Ferjan slow from gate 3, he then tried everything to come close to Klingberg but didn't have a chacne. Heat 11: Neath, Vargek, Lyngso, Moller Neath easily from the gates. Vargek started as 4th but then passed Moller who had problems with bikes and on 2nd lap Vargek also passed Lyngso who looked very poor. Heat 12: Zagar, Santej, Stojs, Allen Zagar very fast from the gates, Allen in 2nd place, but on the back straight slowed down due to bike problems. Stojs fell on 3rd bend but remounted. Stojs then tried to catch Allen who continued the race but was riding very slowly. Stojs passed Allen out of the final bend. Heat 13: Zagar, Ruud, Pijper, Moller Ruud from the gates but Zagar sneaked pass Swede out the 2nd bend on the inside and once again won easily. Pijper passed Moller on 4th bend of lap 1. Heat 14: Neath, Fisher, Santej, Stange Neath gated and nicely passed everyone on the first bend. Santej tried from behind but not fast enough. In the mean time Fisher was going very fast on 3rd place. He passed Santej on 4th bend of lap 2 and then went on to attack Neath. He was very close to him out of the final bend but only inches short of passing him on the finish line. Heat 15: Ljung, Klingberg, Stojs, Lyngso From the gates. Klingberg was closing the gap to Ljung and was very close to him in the last lap, but didn't have enough time to catch him. Heat 16: Ferjan, Legan, Martin, Vargek R Allen excluded for not getting to the gates in time. He came on the track, but his bike wouldn't start. Zagar came on the track and offered Allen his bike, but Olly didn't want to use it, probably 'cause his chances for qualifying to the next round have vanished by that time. Ferjan from the gates easily, reserve rider Primoz Legan in 2nd and Vargek in 3rd. Vargek then fell on 2nd lap, he then continued but soon retired from the heat. Heat 17: Ferjan, Neath, Pijper, Stojs Ferjan from the gates. He won with big margin. Stojs had bike problems. Heat 18: Zagar, Stange, Ljung, Vargek R This was a strange one : Zagar gated but on 2nd bend almost hit the fence when his bike lifted on the rough track. Surprisingly Ivan Vargek took the lead in front of Stange. Zagar quickly in normal riding style and on the outside trying to pass Vargek and Stange, but then Vargek fell on 3rd bend and Matej only just avoided to hit him ! Uff, it was not nice to watch. Matej then won easily while Ljung was totaly out of contention and couldn't pass Stange. Heat 19: Ruud, Santej, Lyngso, Martin R From the gates. Martin retired on 2nd lap. Heat 20: Klingberg, Fisher, Moller, Legan From the gates. Fisher always very close to Klingberg but just couldn't pass him. SEMIFINAL 1.Klingberg, Zagar, Ferjan, Ljung Klingberg and Ferjan equally from the gates, Klingberg on the inside and Ferjan on the outside. Zagar slow from gate 3 but as usually he quickly cut on the inside and easily passed Ferjan out of the 2nd bend - he was much faster then him. Zagar was then all over the track, trying to gain speed out of the bends and he was slowly catching Klingberg. He came very fast out of the final bend, but was just a little to slow to pass Swede on the finish line. 2.Ruud, Pijper, Neath, Santej Ruud excellent from the gates. Neath in 2nd place but once again he had major problems with rough track. Pijper was patiently riding on the inside and finaly passed Neath on lap 3. Santej very slow from the gates. FINAL Zagar, Klingberg, Ruud, Pijper FX 1st attempt : Zagar stormed from the gates, Ruud and Klingberg fought for 2nd place, but then Pijper fell on lap 3 while in last place and was excluded. 2nd attempt : Zagar once again untouchable. This time Klingberg was faster from the gates then Ruud. Edited May 9, 2004 by tomazpozrl
