I actually don't think Clegg is on too bad an average tbh. He's managed to drop if from 5.36 to 4.21 despite riding very few matches. Someone like Matthew Wethers is much worse off, stuck on a 6.47 ave after Newcastle's fixtures were removed. Does anyone know if he still wants to ride?

Clegg struggled at number 7 last season but would probably average around 4 in a weaker league. If we sign him then we need to optimise the opportunity of having an extra couple of points to use, we could give Mickie a couple of meetings then bring Bastian / Jacob in when Cleggs average drops

At Armadale last season (helping Troy Batchelor) Matty said he had his gear ready, just no-one had asked him!

Whatever side Monarchs declare for 2024, without any any malice intended, I hope the Promotion realise that retaining a 29 year old Australian who in 13 matches, 40 rides, achieved a match average of 0.70(excldg BPs) which included only two 3rd places in 16 rides @ home, would dismay the home support.

Some I know are seriously considering whether to attend, or even pay for the stream, if we end up with another uncompetitive starting lineup for 2024.

Would any Edinburgh fans take this team?

1) Josh Pickering 8.63

2) Bastian Borke 4.00

3) Kye Thomson 6.48

4) James Wright 5.10

5) Erik Riss 7.35

6) Stefan Nielsen 3.75

7) Connor Coles 2.68

Comes in just under limit.

Not for me, personally.

Can’t remember his average but, if fits, Paco for Wright would be better and more realistic.

That's not a bad team at all but i think Danyon Hume 4.84 and Hook 3.74 (??) instead of Wright (5.10) and Nielsen (3.75) would be much more preferable and if not Danyon then perhaps the club could look to snag Dan Thompson on a 4.86 (??)

* i have no clue if Dan's average is 4.86, i'm just going on his 2023 rolling with a 2.5% deduction from that figure.

** Connor Coles would be a great number 7 in this season's league and Edinburgh would be lucky to get him.

1   Picko

2   Borke

3   Kye

4   Danyon or Dan

5   Riss

6   Hook

7   Coles

Just throwing some names out there who haven’t really been mentioned to other clubs to be honest, I quite like Wright he was decent for Newcastle when we signed him and unlike paco doesn’t take 2 rides before he starts scoring.

Hook should still be a 4 I think and just didn’t use him due to him being let go mid season but you never know what might happen. Nielsen looks a good average if you can keep him fit but it’s a huge if.
