Brummies 2024...

Presumably if they are using the existing stand at Dunstall there won't be actually much to build bar the track, kennels etc. If permission is imminent then the question is how long is the build and will they build across the winter to be ready for spring 25, if they don't then Brum might at least get 2025

The fact that they have moved the Fireworks back to one of the Parks in Wolverhampton suggests that the work is fairly imminent.

As you point out - the infrastructure is all there so its purely a matter of excavating the grass, marking and laying the track, installing a fence and linking in to the electrics already in place. I'm not sure it would even need specific lighting as the huge lights on the Main Grandstand would light the whole area with minimal configuration.

If they start this before November 5th (which is implied) then it's highly likely it would be ready for the Spring of 2025. I would imagine too that dogs would not pay rent to PB once dogs have moved, so even if that is May / June - Speedway would have to make up shortfall once they have gone.

I am sure nigel said somewhere in the past rent for just speedway would be a five figure sum per meeting!

It's not a laughing matter!.

Don't expect most of us to laugh when Poole closes - it will be an equally serious matter!

Who is laughing?

I'm following Phil Morris' advice to find some positivity rather than negative stuff on social media platforms.

Just listened to no brakes no fear with Tolley giving an interview and it sounds Birmingham will be back next year which is great news! He did also say that 4 riders would be coming back? Just a wild guess

 Brennan, Lampart, Cook and Flint?

If this is true...then Tolley hasn't learned much from this season?

First appointment should be someone who knows what they're doing!

CVS / Peter Adams.

Get rid of his amateur advisors!

Then the next job is to get the track sorted!

From this seasons side... Breenan and Cook are the only 2 riders worth re-signing IMO

Looks like Pi000tr has called it a day!

As the SCB like to hand out suspensions (although Tungate hasn't received his latest suspension yet), they should make an example of him and give him a long ban from British Speedway, years not days. I know it won't make a difference to him but it'll make a statement to other riders that think they can get away with a 28 day ban and then return when it suits them.

Good riddance after his “dive” in his first race at zeilona Gora yesterday he should have a worldwide ban for rest of season, rather watch vinny foord giving his all than a seasoned professional taking the pee out of British speedway

Agreed....but only if he commits from the start of the season and for all of the season....these half hearted efforts do nothing for me...

Freddie always full commitment at wolves never picked and chose his meetings.

CVS won't work for anyone but himself, Adams isn't what Birmingham need either, they should go all out for Alun Rossiter if by some miracle they manage to run in 25

Brummies are planning to run in 2025 apparently... and retain 4 of the current team!  If Lindgren commits for a full season I'd be surprised if he didn't have other offers.  Brennan maybe back on the Aces radar.  Lampart & Flint?

It's all academic until the dogs declare and of course there's absolutely no guarantee that they'll do so early enough for Birmingham to avoid the previous team building dramas. Presumably Tolley must have a date in mind (of the AGM usually) by which time if he hasn't heard then he won't be able to declare for 25

About time the Brummies faithful got some good news for a change.

SCB will surely allow Brum to have a facility as it's nothing to do with them as it's all down to the rider.
