Brummies 2024...

Sedgmen probably would've been the one to go but he put down a marker from night one to a point where he's been the best Brummie in the entire team.

Would've beaten Emil 3 times around Perry Barr already if it was for Emil pulling off a brilliant ride in Ht 15 last night.

Could he replace Mountain? If so I wouldn't be surprised to see Lemon swoop sooner rather than later.

I'd guess he'd be a straight swap for MPT though

mountain is doing very well we won't change and zach cook is poor around NSS :nono:

Zach Cook could end up at a few clubs, Leicester for Becker or Cook as neither pulling up any trees, Oxford for Kerr whose clearly nowhere near fit, Ipswich for Ellis where no timeline on his comeback. End of day speedway in last 20 years has been a ‘numbers game’ and he’s fallen foul of it, he won’t be the last this year either

Just a thought. Zack's actual riding average and win % was higher than Mountain up until the last week or so and we all know Lemon loves an Aussie.

There are clubs out there definitely more in need of him than Belle Vue. Aside from them you could make an argument for him going to almost anyone in the league.

Zach’s better off out of it. It must be costing a fortune to keep the Brummies going with two Poles and now Freddie on the payroll. I wonder if they will survive. Zach will be an attractive proposition for other Premiership clubs. Good luck to him.

Pawlicki  must be on a guaranteed  amout every match ..plus expenses...

I’d say 100%  the correct call.

Cook has done nothing wrong yet, at no time this season, has he excited me or had me commenting after a race or, a meeting ….. “great job by Zack there”.
He’s been unlucky as the plan was to have him at reserve but for various reasons, this hasn’t happened. Sadly for Zack, Worrall and Sedgmen are both riding better than him and scoring more points.
regarding lampart, he has done much better than I expected, there have been flashes of brilliance and signs he is improving week on week. There is also the bonus that lampart becomes a club asset whereas Cook doesn’t. Lampart  has the edge on  cook in my opinion

Worrall has been lucky as until they were all told a change was coming, his form had been disappointing but he’s got his finger out since then thankfully,

Some said keep Cook and redeclare without the unwell Worrall then release cook and reinstate Worrall when well but, remember, Lynn tried that with Pickering last year and he jumped ship to Sheffield plus, there’s no guarantee the authorities would have sanctioned Worrall being reinstated ….. They can decline his returning.

yes, for me, 100% the right choice.
thanks for your efforts Zach. Bit unlucky if truth be told. Hope you get fixed up elsewhere asap.

Surely if Birmingham explained they were dropping Worrall (temporarily) to avoid using guests, that should be welcomed?

You could even argue there should be a rule where they can't drop a fit rider (Cook) and be allowed a guest for an unfit rider (Worrall).

I thought it was wrong Oxford could drop Klindt, just so they could use Nicholls as a guest for Kerr, instead of being told "no Riss has to replace Kerr, or no guests allowed".

I cannot see Oxford dropping Kerr. If they were unsure of his form / fitness, the obvious thing would be to have kept Cook. I can't believe after one match, they'd suddenly change their plans with Kerr.

I agree , it’s stupid. As the rules stand, if we dropped Worrall snd kept cook until Worrall was well enough to return, we would have to apply for permission to reinstate Worrall snd this might not be granted and, there’s no guarantee Worrall wouldn’t choose to go elsewhere, as per Pickering last season

looks like we’ve chosen the rider rep option for Ipswich tomorrow so if we follow that trend then the using of guests argument doesn’t apply anyway.
ti be honest, being able to use Brennan plus several rides from Pawlicki is probs going to be more beneficial as long as Pawlicki finds some form.

Sedgmen as well can take a ride and he’s in good form. Sedgmen, Brennan and realistically two from Pawlicki is more than good enough cover for Worrall.

Those Brummies fans who voted for Brexit can be proud of themselves. Still they've got their borders back, immigration is under control and that £350m a week is pouring into the NHS instead of into Brussels per their red Battle Bus, isn't it?

Whatever your views on the issue I don't think you can lay this one at the door of Brexit.

Some Speedway riders have always needed visas to ride here and they always will. It's clear by reading the statement Birmingham put out that they've been gagged by the powers that be in disclosing what has actually happened. I think you need to be looking towards the Speedway administrators rather than behind the doors of No 10 Downing Street.

I'm surprised Birmingham have preferred Lampart over Zach Cook, we'll see what happens.
