Brummies 2024...

That's what I thought when I looked at his pedigree!

As I said on 7th January, he finished 4th in the Polish averages in 2023. But then as LagutaFan said in reply, he hasn't shown any interest in riding in the UK for the last 15 years. So who knows? I love his never-say-die racing style, and would love him to come and ride for the Brummies.

Would Janusz Kołodziej  and Jarek Hampel have "old" averages that they could bring forward, or would they have new assessed averages?

Its starting to sound like Billy Smarts with all these has beens being banded about?

Glad that you no longer think of  Janusz Kołodziej as a "has been"  :t:

The longer it goes on, the less likely it is to be a signing that will propel Birmingham off the bottom. The team owes it to its loyal supporters to make an announcement. Their behaviour is just like 2022 when they signed Adam Ellis on a short term contract - about 8 weeks or so - just before press and practice day but told him not to tell anyone how short the contract was. When he stuck to the contract and left in mid-May, Adam was accused of walking out.
A bit of honesty rather than a load of BS is what’s needed now

Really can’t see 1 good rider now. Let alone 2.

hope I’m wrong though

thought you had heard Pawlick and Milik were Birmingham bound, Phil?

I think these two fill Phil’s judgement. Neither Pawlicki has reached “star” status since they stopped riding in UK and Milik has really gone nowhere since his stint at Poole.

They were the last 2 mentioned to me. But as of today. Nothing as been signed. Which is a massive worry really as a rider will need to sign soon to organise things

Mr Tolley keeps telling us they are in NO rush, I can only say if they don't sign 2 x out and out heat leaders, he would be better off keeping his money in his pocket..

So have Brum actually signed the final two or not now?

If they haven't then the alarm bells are about to ring, No top rider will make a last minute decision to take on another work load, They're top professionals who'll want everything in place ASAP.

What on earth are Birmingham doing?

Artem Lagtua is only riding in 1 league next year. He cannot ride in Sweden and the GPs. No rider can go through an entire season by riding once a week on a Sunday.

Laguta is desperate for a UK contract and Birmingham need a big number 1.

What am I missing? This is a match made in heaven.

I expect his demands exceed their valuation.

Think Brum are goosed now tbh. It’s obvious that they are having to work very hard to persuade someone to come over. None of the riders mentioned actually want to race in the UK so I would question how much effort they would put in.

Laguta and Kolodziej are both available. They would turn Birmingham into title contenders.

Laguta earns £2,000 per point for Wroclaw.

He would be prepared to join Birmingham for 30% of that. How much lower can he go?

30% plus a van mechanic, flights etc etc.  The list will go on. I'm not saying your wrong but there are other things  to consider.
