Interesting how the Brummies get an American team manager whilst Laurence Rogers is spending his spare time helping the American Dream Team plan for the FIM Speedway of Nations. GiveusaB
Difficult to conclude any expectations, until we sign at least 2 credible riders to carry the team forward
kitten2502
The jury is out for me on the TM - I was sort of hoping for someone with a little experience of Premiership management - but we'll see.

Argos
OMG absolutely the Birmingham management have forgotten what happened at Reading when he was sacked half way through the season as technical advisor!!! why do they need a Team Manager, Assistant team manager, and a Director of Speedway (that clown Rogers)? the only reason I can think off is they think he will bring some Wolves fans to Birmingham, and from what I’ve heard he’s not cheap, as for the signing well I hope the remaining signings are Big hitters, when you look at the heat leaders that there first home opponents are Sheffield, but good luck for the coming season, I really do think you need it. The Dog
Ermolenko is just a 'name' signing, same as Rooney at Birmingham City

I was working at Reading during that season (2006) Sam was not sacked half way through the season. He was involved throughout.

However you can't rule out that the true manager will be in a secret lair deep beneath the Clent Hills, controlling everything remotely. FatJensen
Just looking at the fixtures, its a shame that the meeting on May bank holiday Monday against the Manchester Super-casinos was not scheduled for a home and away on the same day. Proper speedway that.

Absolutely, he was a good rider but that was the limit of his skills . His time at Reading certainly wasn't what you would describe as thrilling. To be fair there's not a great deal a TM can do tactically these days, that's why a lot of teams have ex-riders these days for their technical/coaching abilities rather than being a tactical genius. That's not to say they can't make "strange" decisions now and again
