Great to see Cookie beating ex and future World Champs at Sheffield. Would have been battered without him and Tunny. Janowski is a disappointment.

but got beat by Scott, Wirtzfeld, Foord and Simpson down at Plymouth on Monday. A season in the CL would imo would have been the way to go

He is still new and raw to the sport. He is going to learn a lot from riding in the top tier. Any rider he beats is a bonus at this stage.

Maybe Janowski is trying to be a disappointment ...his current drop his for will give Oxford some more points to play with if you get my drift

Thou quite clearly its was a poor team to start with...Any team that has 5 points to work with can soon change  a poor side into a top side

Are they a poor team though. Look odds on to make the play-offs imo. Leicester keep losing at home, Lynn & Brummies miles behind the rest.

Despite the teams low average, don't seem to be doing that badly.

They looked a good side at the start of the season and always looked like they would easily make the play offs, they have now got Cook on a bargain average and Janowski has dropped nearly 3 points off his average also when Lewis Kerr is back they will look even better and then get Robert Lambert back for the play offs!

Tough to know who to drop for Kerr.

While Cook's on a low average, that's largely irrelevant, signing a 4.5 rider when you have 6.5 available isn't getting the best of an attractive average.

If they could sign Lambert & Lindgren (not gonna happen I know) then Cook would be on a bargain average.

Will be interesting to see what they do with all their spare points.

Coming 4th out of 7 does not make you a good side . they nearly lost to Kl last week at home .. The first 7 picked was quite clearly terrible but now they have a change all that by keeping cook and getting rid of wright for a heat leader . Do that and they have a great chance of a gold medal

I get your point, but finishing 4th, is just as valuable as finishing 1st. Then just need to be good for 4 meetings.

If they can sign a top heat leader, then that'll make a difference (I expected that rider to be Janowski).

I thought the original team looked very good, so can't blame the promotion for getting it wrong.

The Magic of 2024 was never going to be a no 1 as i pointed out before the season started but you have a chance to have him as second string . his crap form or him dropping his ave his given Oxford a golden chance . Just need to be brave and make the right choice now .

And if available Robert Lambert could be used for the play offs!

KL looked a good team too but now lost Tarasenko and Musielak not performing like he did last season so now dont look so good but its early yet and they can make changes.

Did they ? No second heat leader was always going to make  it hard  for them.and even more so away from home...Bookies had them.as outsiders with only Brum below them

Musielak got 27+2 in his last two completed fixtures so I think that's a bit harsh. I always thought the key was how well the ex-Panthers adapted to Saddlebow rd, which makes Wojdylo's last performance an encouraging sign for them, but they are still badly short of top end support for Tobias.

We are around 2.6 points under the limit, if for example we could find an 7 ish point rider willing to come to replace MPT (a huge IF of course) it changes the side completely. But they are hardly queuing up unfortunately.

Who realistically would/could race here?? You'd obviously take Lambert/Vaculik/Lindgren but seems unrealistic.

Michelson? Thompson? Pr Pawlicki?

Would be a massive missed opportunity not to use the points available.

Yes I thought it looked a good solid team much the same as Peterborough team that  finished with who alot thought would do extremely well with that team. Tarasenko is definitely heat leader quality
