I been told all week that at least 700 tickets sold .They forgot to turn up if that was the case

No more than 100 in the temp stand. Didn’t need it all all as the people in it could have been fitted in the back straight.

Give it 10 mins once the euphoria of Britain winning has died down, and I'm sure this forum will revert to type and the moaning about the crowd size will take priority.

Irony…. Moaning about moaning!

Because the biggest stand was empty, and the back straight was over half empty, plus the main stand was far from full. Loads of empty seats at the end. Poor crowd Rob and you know it. Racing was very good as expected.

Can’t understand moaning about a GB crowd when sitting at home, classic shovel.

No wonder it was empty. £30 or family of three for £60 would have been fair.

Again maths not your strong point, so you wanted prices less then half, yet crowd couldn’t be doubled so would have lost even more money.

Emil and Artem have a 100% winning record in the Speedway of Nations.

Them not riding has made this event more interesting.

It's a bit like Djokovic not playing Wimbledon.

How? Djokovic has lost at Wimbledon.

The back straight was completely full.
Stick to your tinpot 2nd division club and keep reminiscing about 2004.

No Rob. They would have filled empty seats which generate zero money. Rather bums on seats for £30 than a seat sitting empty. The club knew the attendance was dire but didn’t go pro-active to do something about it last week or this.

Great win for Team GB,I'm beaming at the moment. The only thing that I thought was wrong was Stead lifting the trophy first, shouldn't that had been the captain.Maybe I missed something.

Zmarzlik chokes.

What this event has shown me is that Russia would wipe the floor with this field.

Emil and Artem would hit 7-2s in every heat.

I do wonder reading your post's and your fascination with the Russian if you’re are a patient in a mental asylum. Did you see Zmarzliks crash in mid-week? A lot riders if they were leading the World Championship would have decided to stay at home and have a rest. If I remember righty Laguta Pulled out and missed meetings with sprained ankle !! Such a hard man!!

No it wasn’t Rob. It was half empty. I have seen the back straight full with a sea of heads. Tonight everyone was spaced out.

The crowd tonight? 3500?

Paying an average seventy quid or so..?

Well over £200k, which is easily the highest gross taken in UK Speedway for probably ever outside Cardiff..

Whatever way you look at it it shows the support for Speedway in Uk is dwindling.Unfortunately.Promoters need to get their act together and try and sort it out.
