TTT
1 minute ago, Hackett said: Agreed - Kurtz will know the track and you would expect be able to adapt to the conditions on his home-track quicker than most. Should be a decent meeting I think this is wide open. Only concern is Kurtz isn't proven at this level where's Fricke has already won the Gold with Holder and he also has lots of GP experience behind him. Kurtz has Home track knowledge but it's a different ball game riding against Elite GP riders in every race compared to British racing. Such a small crowd. Get about as many at a Poole league meeting. Last time at BV surely. The PCMM crowd must be similar... As for Poole, you charge ninety quid to sit in that grandstand and see how many you get...

Bagpuss
Quite clear that they've got the pricing horribly wrong.

As was the plan to build a stand that wasn't going to be affordable to many... A truly baffling business decision.... But this is a UK Speedway promoter...
Daniel Smith
Pretty embarrassing turnout. Well done Belle Vue in out pricing the average fan. This weekend has probably just crippled the club very heavily

TTT
If you want to back AUS now is the time to do it @Shockster because they don't face Poland until Heat 21. Get a Double chance of AUS & POL then.

Poole held the World Cup in 2004. They had temp stands on three and four. The place was absolutely packed to the rafters. Racing was sensational. (The Havvy v Polish rider one of the many highlights) BV have a great track but Manchester is not a hotbed of speedway and no one would go there out of choice. Mr. Clemens
10 minutes ago, orion said: What a shocking crowd When it was first announced I was going to go till I heard what the ticket prices were. Reading in the Speedway Star not long after the announcement, it was inferred that they weren't bothered if the 'local yokels' go as there will be hundreds of thousands coming from abroad. You shouldn't really complain about the prices, after all it is a world championship, a prestigious event!!!!

Also don't forget the Poole fans are a gullible lot, they must be to torn up and watch what they do every week Edited July 13 by iainb
