As of now the following tickets are sold for Saturday.

Grandstand: 1724

Temporary stand: 752.

The southstand had 1000 tickets sold by last Weekend (obviously could be higher now)

So currently at least 3476 tickets have been sold in advance .

I reckon that hits at least 4k by start time Saturday with on the day purchases.

Like I said must be looking at wrong Website. Its a trivial matter but I won’t be parting with £85 .Should be a decent meeting though.

I quite enjoyed both nights of racing (always good racing at the National Speedway Stadium) - how they managed to get last night on was a minor miracle and it wasn't just processional riding.  I think it is good to see the lesser countries against the "big boys", however, I don't know how anyone would make any money out of running these 2 events.  Given that the GB hosts aren't racing until Friday and Saturday, the crowds were rather sparse (as you would expect) - but they were worse than sparse and certainly would have hit someone deep in their pockets - I suspect they are looking for big crowds on Friday and Saturday to compensate.  If someone happened to tune in on Discovery+ (it is hard enough for the diehard fans to get access never mind someone with a passing interest), they wouldn't have thought that they must attend in person because the lack of crowd impacted the atmosphere and with the weather thrown in last night - it just made it not a great advert for speedway.

Discovery+ should be showing this on Eurosport and not on a specialist channel that requires yet more subscriptions.

Reference your last sentence- that is exactly why they are putting the whole competition on Discovery + They have paid big money for the rights and need to get as much back from Subscriptions as they can. We are very fortunate in the UK that the GP’s are on Eurosport. In Poland for instance, only the 4 GP’s staged in Poland are available on TTT Tv and the others on player and rebranded MAX( Discovery +) I am not sure that from 2025 when Eurosport becomes TNT we won’t go the same way and it will be subscription or nothing.

I presume Eurosport has no charge to watch….if that is the case, how does the setting up and all the technical stuff required get paid for?
And why is Discovery+ a specialist channel? It’s a massive channel that covers a multitude of sports (well over 50 sports), plus loads of other non sport topics.
My £6.99 per month (and it is a monthly contract, not tied in for 12month) if I just watched speedway is good value, but I watch with interest probably half dozen sports that have wheels, mostly 2 wheels.
Apart from BBC licence fee, Discovery+ is the only subscription I pay. I went off Sky a few years ago and BT couple years ago.

Just out of curiosity,  I noticed on Tuesday  that the Clerk of the Course came to the tapes and pointed something  at the bikes. Does anyone know what he was doing? Genuine  question; I was just puzzled because I haven't seen that before.

Checking transponders i would guess.Phil Morris got upset in Gorzow when the officials didn’t do it properly.

Why is Leon Madsen not riding?

Something to do with his estranged wife and got the children working for one of the sponsors I think

His Polish partner has ‘kidnapped’ their kids took them to Poland, the company she works for is sponsor of Danish national team and they not cooperating so he not riding. He released long statement, she also released statement,

Yeah, his excuse was that he didn't want to ride with that sponsor's name on his chest. For some reason it was not a problem for him to ride with the same sponsor on the front covers during the Mallila SGP.. oh and that sponsor actually ended their deal with the Danish team just a couple of days ago

Was mentioned last nite that bartoz went home to Poland to get injuries treated,  anyone know how bad they are, and will he be back on Saturday,  or save himself for GP and Poland?

I think he will be fine and probably score heavily as usual on Saturday.

We may not want Poland to win but races with him in are usually pretty good!

Bartoz wasn't a fan of Glasgow a couple of years ago team GB v Poland,  struggled a bit on a track you had to think how to ride it
