I have no issue with Zach, he has just come back after injury, give him a bit of time and he will be fine, he isnt as good as brother Ben but he will be fine. Steve Shovlar
Heat 14 at Oxford and I said before the heat Zach would fail to come up with the goods and Oxford would outgate him, and in doing so he won’t get past them. So it proved. His form is poor compared to last season.
lewy
Zach will be better rider than his brother as there career's develop imo
1stbender
There’s certainly a gap between both cooks at present. Ben seems to be progressing nicely up the order whilst Zach seems to have stagnated.

Likely there is a couple of options to look at if his average drops too much. Poole certainly can carry one or two riders, already in the next round of the KOC, great chance of making the semis of the BSN, won their first away league match. Don't know where the concern is coming from tbh. You don't need to win every match to be Champions.

Zach has had an injury so wasn't expecting too much at Oxford so wasnt disappointed personally.

arnieg
I don't get all the angsting here about the Cook's. Both have had the odd bad match, but they are clearly still improving and have turned in Premiership performances that show how good they could be. With Brennan and Hagon out performing expectation I don't think Poole have much to worry about and they can afford to carry Perry (or replacement should they drop him). Add in the fact that all the teams tipped as their main rivals (Glasgow, Oxford, Redcar) are under performing, I'd feel very positive at the moment if I was a Poole supporter.

Zach's average has actually increased so far this season 6.22 to 6.51. I hear that he was particularly unhappy with the Echo article and the 'official' report of his injuries, as rather than 'lower back' and 'abdomen'. it was his wrist that was giving him most pain - which might better explain his lack of gating prowess at Oxford!!

I was quite surprised by the article and wasn't particularly concerned about anyone's form. But after reading it you think why are they bringing this up? Am I supposed to be worried? I think if there are any team changes it will be Glasgow or Redcar rather than us.

Why would he be unhappy, the article was just Dan Ford saying he wasn't concerned with Zach's (lack of) form? Surely any other response would be worse, if he said he's happy & he expects Zach to score 3 or 4 points each week - that would be worse! Or saying he's very concerned & doesn't think Zach will improve - that would be worse!

Jaizer
Good effort from Tom in gp qualifiers. 10 points and 5th place best of the rest. Could probably hand picked the qualifiers beforehand
