Tom is 2nd in the Pirates averages currently so r/r will be the best solution - especially with 6 teams in action on Friday. Meanwhile Redcar will need a replacement for Connor Bailey!! Personally would always prefer a guest to r/r, but I haven't checked to see which clubs aren't riding on Friday. 24 minutes ago, Steve Shovlar said: They wouldn’t sack him as he is an up and coming rider who would be picked up by a rival club straight away. Threats from different countries should not allow federation rules to be broken, regardless of money. His Polish team would have known about the clash at the start of the season. As a Brit, a 30 day ban should be the order of the day for withholding his services. Harsh but stops young riders chasing the money rather than the team he should be riding for. Club gets punished more though imo. 9 minutes ago, Jaizer said: I see Tom's replied to someone on twitter saying Poland takes priority due to FIM rules. What's FIM got to do with league clashes. Dangerous precedent to set saying it's ok for riders to miss prearranged fixtures for Poland I would have thought it was due to 'Polish rules!' But if it is because of FIM then can't do much about it.

I don't think a Polish club has ever had to sack a rider, because no-one ever stands up to them to find out. If a 3 x world Champion (Woffinden) can't / won't tell his Polish club he can't race when injured, what chance has anyone else got!

szkocjasid
An away defeat won't hurt Poole in the slightest so why not use r/r and give your own riders extra races!

Racin Jason 72
I remember seeing Foord make his NDL debut at Eastbourne and it was frightening !!! brilliant to see him really improve and score very decent points in the championship.

Poole have a little bit to thank a rogue Eastbourne promoter for their success since the drop to the championship, sure Brennen, Lawson, and Foord would have been in an Eastie team if still going, along with Edward's and Abblit. Certainly hasn't helped the development of youth riders them disappearing the way they did.
