Steve Shovlar
World of difference between Perry and Foord. Anyone with a speedway brain can see it on the track.

Sorry a young lad has a serious crash last season he is obviously going to take some time this season to get back ….. why did Poole sign him just to bin him for someone who isn’t any better ….. awful decision Oh and the point he got was a 3 rider race Max was signed before his crash. How many times do you need to be told the same thing!! If the Poole management want to change the team it is up to them. Their money at the end of the day. Oh, it doesn't matter if it was a three rider race. He still scored when you said he hadn't. So you were still wrong.

Not sure it'd look good if the authorities blocked a young Brit getting a Championship team because he had the misfortune to have been dropped by them previously. Yes it’s all well and good trying hard but Foord can’t seem to stay on the bike …. I will agree with the signing if he starts scoring 3 or 4 but he isn’t Anyone with a speedway brain knows Janowski is a better rider than most in the league but he isn’t doing it….. so until Foord does better then it’s a poor signing

There’s going for it and reckless and I know which category he’s falling into at the minute. How he hasn’t been more seriously injured lately is nothing short of a miracle.

He does have a tendency to ride a tight inside line most of the time which is a dodgy style on patchy tracks. IMO He got away with it at Glasgow because track conditions suited his style.Wish him well though and hope he has a speedy recovery.

He was doing fine last night untill he picked up some unwanted grip . Nothing more nothing less. In his first meeting with us he was trying far to hard and over riding . He clearly has abillity but he's just been unlucky . He's a likeable down to earth lad, but we will have to see what both Matt and Dan are prepared to do in the short term

Yeah he’s got the makings of a good rider he just needs to probably adjust his riding style a tad. Over trying is just asking for trouble but that’ll come with experience and age. He’s only a young kid so plenty of years in the sport coming his way. Not sure if he has a mentor or not, but if he hasn’t, one would help him long term. Last night was national league, at a track which is his home track, against riders he should be beating anyways because he’s racing in the championship. It’s completely irrelevant.

It’s completely irrelevant. Last night was only the second time he has ridden this home track though! Also it isn't completely irrelevant as some of the riders who beat last night he would be facing in the Championship anyway like Ablitt when Scunny are down, Joe Thompson when Plymouth visit. Same with Max James and Edinburgh, Trigger and Mulford with Redcar etc. Although I will give that last night was more riders at a similar level than what he gets at Championship. To me last night was more about track time for him. Shame he picked up an injury as I think he would have the beating of the Edinburgh reserves imo. Fromafar
Vinnie is good prospect, but this continued weakening of the League does but a lot more pressure for young riders to perform above their average. It is a big step up for these guys. Not many have make a huge impact .
lbw
I'd give my mate a go.......Tom Spencer (Leicester Cubs) in the short term at least. He has got his average up to 8.48 in the NDL this season and he said to me that he would like a go at the Championship. I guess he would come in on a 2 point average. But like any rider on such an average don't expect the world from him. All this bickering about who is better than who, at the end of the day these lads are a 2 point rider for a reason. Anyway, c'mon Tom now is your time to shine

Anyway, c'mon Tom now is your time to shine I like Tom but he does tend to rapidly raise his average in the first half of the season then trim it back down to a more signable 5ish in the latter stages. He's a smart enough rider but im yet to be convinced that he would mix it in a more physical league and his bikes could do with a decent cash injection bu at only 24 there are certainly worse options out there / already riding in the CL.
