Surely if the reserves ARE Sam Hagon and Max Perry then (I'm really not convinced by that as a pairing tbh, Oxford's 2.00ers this season were clearly going to kick on, where these two I can't see kicking on as much) this would be better... Keeping the Cook bothers at 3/4, bringing Brennan back to the south coast which has been rumoured and still having a big hitting number 1...

1. Richard Lawson 8.49

2. James Pearson/Tate Zischke 4.08/4.00

3. Ben Cook 7.39

4. Zach Cook 6.22

5. Tom Brennan 7.15

6. Sam Hagon 2.57

7. Max Perry 2.00

Total: 37.90/37.82

Zische is a 5

Thats rather harsh on Perry. Based on seeing him ride for the Cubs, he is a bright kid that uses his brain and his throttle so will do a very good job for whoever he riders for at Championship level next season.

Maybe you're right... I have to admit it's been a few months since I've seen him (or anyone for that matter) ride... So he might have kicked on really well in the second half of last season, but the twice I saw him in the first half of last season, it looked as if he was just slightly off Championship level and could have done with one more season in the NDL... But I would be very happily be proven wrong. I just would have thought a rider like that could have benefited with a more experienced/better partner at reserve... Again, no offence to Sam Hagon, both good prospects.

Starke? Never in a month of Sundays. He is well past his best. Expect a team like Plymouth or Berwick to sign him but a Poole rider he never will be. Too old, not got any improvement in him. Really should retire. Looked a complete spent force last year and not interested.

I mean you're not far off describing Kyle Newman in fairness.

Starke does look a spent force but if he's into it then he'd add 2 points to his average easily at this level.

You are joking, Kyle had a good season, faded a bit at the end unfortunately but always gives his all for Poole. Starke has gone downhill and is a risk for any team.

No, should I be?

Paul Starke has been a far better rider than Kyle Newman in the past. If Paul Starke can be described as "too old" and "not got any improvement in him" then so can Kyle Newman.

I don't think you can doubt the effort Newman gives to any team, but making out you're above the level of Starke while Newman keeps being signed is illogical.

I love Kyle at Poole because of his commitment to the team and he is local plus he put well over a point on his average, always liked Starke too but his average is dropping which doesnt mean he is on a bargain average just means he isnt as good as he was

Any team place for Kyle will depend on the timing and success of his shoulder op this winter. With it being a NHS op, who knows when it will happen or how long the recovery?

Thank you, I'm pleased.

I'm not sure predicting a rider, available on 4.10, and who's averaged:

2017 - 7.10

2018 - 6.80

2019 - 7.39

2021 - 6.58

adding 2 points to his average in a weaker league is my finest material, but I'm pleased nevertheless.

Yes you have mentioned that before, if Kyle can't be fitted in with the lowered averages then that would be a shame assuming the shoulder op goes well.

Seems he was in and now out. Wonder who they have changed him for? Like the riders are announcing it themselves though! Haha. Did Dan Ford agree to this announcement :D
