Does anyone know if I can use my original ticket for next weeks meeting against Poole and do I need to re-book parking ?

There you go, from the webpage

All tickets will be transferred to the fixture’s restaging, which will be confirmed as soon as arrangements are made. Anyone requiring a refund can email sales@oxfordspeedway.club.

As far as I know assessed riders in the Champ get a new average after 8 matches, yet Boughen & Killeen have been given new averages after 6 matches (3 last year, 3 this year). Is that a new rule or have the BSPL made a mistake?

It makes a difference if Oxford were planning to use up their spare points, but it looks like they're not. Kinda surprised tbh, seems odd to sign 2 x 2.00 riders who will put points on their averages, but not gain the full advantage of that by building so far under the limit.

10.2.1:

Any rider returning to British Speedway on an established MA, achieved prior to 2022 will establish an updated MA after completing 6 applicable meetings.
Riders new to British Speedway will establish an updated MA after completing 6 applicable meetings.

in bold - so amended this year.

So changes must be made today. I have heard hints there might be changes, but have no idea what they might be.

... so waiting with baited breath

Cheers, the British Speedway website still said 8 matches for Champ and 3 home & away for Prem.

Is that the same for both of the top divisions then?

I'd guess at Erik Riss coming in for the unfortunate Henry, if it fits. If it doesn't fit then someone else gets dropped too and possibly Jody Scott in

Riss for Jenkins fits, but now Jordan's scores have improved, don't expect him to be dropped.

I guess it depends how ruthless a club is?

Hasn’t Riss said he doesn’t want championship racing cause of other commitments that’s why he turned Redcar 28 day down

He said on the podcast it depends who is asking. Redcar would be harder to fit in than Oxford (unless he is doing Denmark) I would imagine.

Earlier in the year he indicated he wanted to ride Champ. But I got the impression he wasn't desperate, so would only pick a team that fits in his schedule. The fact he couldn't agree to 28 days makes it less likely he'd sign, but maybe a midweek club, like Oxford, is a possibility?

If Riss has too much in his schedule, could easily drop his Spires places as they have virtually 5 points to play with for a replacement and link up with the Cheetahs instead.

Oh dear!

Yeah, he's not exactly set the world alight at Sandy Lane before.

His visits for Poole last year were...

League: 1pt (beat Ryan Kinsley)
Cup: 1pt (beat Ryan Kinsley)
BSN Series: 1pt (only scored because Killeen retired)

So a fair replacement for Atkins then (based on his 2024 scores).

But will Roynon score more than the guests have done?
