martinmauger
Spoke to an NL level rider, took part in training sessions in Poland (forget which track) said all riders were given generic numbered body colours, to keep, & there was a large central fuel supply in the pits, riders just filled their tanks as required, FOC.... Apparently it was the illegal additive he was carrying, nitros oxide, several riders allegedly put a little in the carbs before going out on track and it gave a boost to your starts

Yea this happens now, but in the past was supplied from a big drum at the track, but it was very primitive, now a big more safer when giving out the supplies

Apparently most things were available FOC to riders taking part; in addition to the fuel, a tyre each, oil if required, tear offs, the odd spark plug + plenty of other help like pushers, or to lend hand with bike issues. They weren't 100% sponsored 'seshes' as such only for riders contracted to the team, but things were on hand to remove potential small hassles so riders could concentrate on their bikes & the actual riding bit. Prob one of many reasons why Poland is 'the place to be' in world speedway these days....
Fortythirtyeight
Agree that Poland appears to do things better which is why we have so many issues over here. Not too sure what all the fuss is about, so tracks 20 plus years ago supplied the fuel? and Poland still do it seems, times have changed and so has health & safety. As long as SOMEONE supplies the fuel, then crack on.

topaz325
I think at this stage if Claus Vissing was available and within the budget he would have been signed , so cannot see why we would break the bank to sign him now.

Can't see why a rider hasn't been signed by now. Seems a risky strategy. Now it is more risky as Redcar need a rider on a similar average. geoff100
If the rest of league agree we could have dan bewley on a false low average,if only we had a past chairman who was friends with the current chairman

Bomber75
Thinking from the other side of the argument there is now a group of riders without a club for 2024 who you would think want to ride so there may be a good deal to be struck.
