no real point trying to build team untill regs are finalised

but i see tom brennan  not wanted at glasgow

could be good round northside

also sam gotta be  of interest the lad never gives up and rides his heart out

and luke harrison  all depends  on cost and building a team that works

I would 100% have young Sam back. He's improved massively this season and will only get better. He has a great mentality too. He's had some bad crashes this season and hasn't let them effect him one bit.

This is the team I'd like to see, purely based on Riders I like and that I think would be available, nothing else.

Who knows what will happen, but it's exciting times to be a Comets fan again!

1. Craig Cook
2. Alfie Bowtell
3. Tom Brennan
4. Connor Bailey
5. Steve Worrall
6. Luke Harrison
7. Sam McGurk

37.22

Steve Worrall did actually sign for the Comets for 2019, which never happened.

Decent looking team but I wouldn’t have cook. When’s he’s on, he’s on but he’s a liability these days.

Apparently 38 points and 1 rising star is gonna be the limit Sam mcgurk the rising star for me, can see luke going to Redcar or scummy, then we have just got to attract riders to make a team :D probably a lot will depend on race day/night if we get some lights

Apparently we’ve bought the lights from Peterborough

£18-20 I think , £20 at Glasgow , a steep rise from NDL  prices for Worky fans

And if rumours are correct most of the No 1's in teams now won't be in the league in 2024  (josh pickering ryan Douglas, sam masters etc ) so top money for a diluted product !!!

Just hope fans will support a higher level speedway with weakened teams

On the flip side it may bring more exciting and competitive heats of speedway.

I think it was £16 in 2018 last time we were at this level. £20 will be reasonable imo, although I can only imagine what some people will say when it’s announced it’s £20.

But even non-league National League football is £20 to get in these days. Unfortunately some casual fans won’t realise the actual costs to put a meeting on.

Just to add to this with some geeky calculations too, based on a minimum wage worker.

In 2018, you’d have to work 2.04 hours (£7.83ph) to get into speedway.

If it’s £20 in 2024, you’d have to work 1.92 hours (£10.42ph) to get in.

I know there’s a lot of other life costs increased also, not least interest rates. But it gives a slight perspective on entrance fee increases.

Have said it before but personally think this difference in price lark is a nonsense. If the weather is dodgy people are just going to watch the stream ( which is less) than risk paying more on the the day.

Surely you just put a geographical restriction on buying the stream.

Home fans go to the meeting but away ones can stream it.

I think Edinburgh have something like Geographical restriction set up, and I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that if an Edinburgh supporter couldn't attend due to illness, that if they contacted EMTV that they could bypass the restriction to allow them to buy the stream.

Apologies if the last bit is my brain playing tricks on me.

I streamed pretty much every Oxford away meeting that was available, that wasn't on the very wonderful BSN, I'm sure plenty of fans of any club also did. Good little moneyspinner for the clubs once they've gained back the initial expense of buying equipment and setting everything into place.
