Steve Shovlar
Terrible news about his injuries ruling him out for the rest of this season. I had a chat with him at Poole and a very likeable lad indeed. I hope he mends quickly. Very difficult to replace the potential of Zischke for Workington this season. R/R might be the best bet but a reserve would have to take one of the rides and Workington have the worst reserves in the Championship. They would probably still be strong enough at home to cover for him but would probably need a guest away. Unless they look to replace but who has the potential out there that is willing to ride for half a season? Perhaps a reshuffle and a couple of riders come in, strengthening up the reserve berths? Oh don’t mention dropping reserves Steve Such a shame for Tate, hopefully a smooth recovery for him and look forward to seeing him next season. As for the rest of the season, guest choices look good with Tate in some good company regarding his average. If it allows, personally, I’d look at getting someone in and having a reshuffle but it’s just who’s out there.
SteveLyric2
The choice of potential guest (7.73 Home/7.36 away) shouldn't be a problem. Although the Saturday Home fixtures may be for some?! Best wishes to Tate.
szkocjasid
Maybe unlikely for a Saturday track, but there's a few foreign Premiership riders whose converted averages would fit, Pawlicki, Milik & Rew?

Looking at the fixture list, Worky only have 3 more home meetings, 2 on a Saturday, one on a Sunday and also away at Berwick on a Saturday. So maybe not too many fixture clashes to work around? Also depends if a potential riders Polish teams make their playoffs or not.

I somehow don't think the Rew signing would go down well. I know it wasn't deliberate but he's taken out one of our best riders and a very likeable, entertaining one at that. You could be right, but I hope most fans would realise Speedway is a dangerous sport & accidents do happen. Not signing Rew, won't help Tate heal any quicker.

They’re good friends and ride together in the polish u24 league. It’s a shame what’s happened, but I wouldn’t hold it against him if Workington signed him. If it can be worked out and he fits, Erik Riss wouldn’t be a bad shout.

Erik Riss won't sign the reason he isn't already in the Championship is because most meetings are on a weekend and clash with longtrack etc
Noelinho
Yeah, Riss would be a good guest but unlikely to commit to anything more. I think a couple of clubs have already tried.

If you saw Mondays TV match , he did it in a few races and he was looking backwards before lap one was over ! But theres few options out there these days. Woke23
If it comes to it, and it's difficult to replace tate, which it's going to be, I would look at mixing the reserves up as well
Fromafar
Wish Tate a good recovery,he is an exciting prospect.Very unlucky but that is the nature of the sport.
wtf
Whilst it's far from ideal, Workington could get away with RR for Tate at home with extra rides for Troy, Claus and Antii. Away from home where Tate has been learning new tracks and his scores reflect that, well chosen guests could work well.
SteveLyric2
Gino Manzares coming over for the BEN Fund meeting so maybe worth a try - assuming he hasn't already been snapped up elsewhere?!

Biffa
I think Rew only had a visa for 1 league so couldn’t ride championship at the time, haven’t got a clue how the Visa’s work but think that was the reason.
