err , go on then . please tell us more of any benefits that we gained fron the top b,nannas .

do tell us more . facts only please

BTW, celina is  averaging 3.62 from an assesed 4.00 ave .  shame some teams cant/wont think outside the box and still tryi to buy the league .

She's actually averaging 2.21, so Workington haven't gained an advantage, but that's still irrelevant, why come out with a detailed set of rules & not follow them?

Because Workington have a good track and stadium, the league needed teams to make up the numbers so they have been afforded alot of favourable dispensation which is why they can afford to sign riders like  Vissing. Why their supporters can't understand this baffles me.

Bastian Pedersen would come in on a 4.00 wouldn’t he?  He’s a very exciting young prospect from when I’ve seen him, just another one with the added cost of travel to/from UK

I take he is a Dane so not available when Glasgow at Poole or Oxford? One of the reasons they didn't sign Vissing back apparently according to Cami (not available on Wed). Although Vissing was just at Poole on a Weds lol.

Seems an odd decision not to sign a Dane, unless you are a Wednesday club. I'm sure both Workington & Berwick are delighted with Vissing & Borke & would just need to plan when to race at Poole / Oxford. It's not like Danish teams ride every Wednesday of the year.

Perhaps Cami trying to deflect the blame of not picking the right riders I wonder?

Don’t think you are far off with the team building appraisal.

Whatever way you look at it whoever thought this team would be top 4 made an absolute James Hunt off  the team building.

Obviously losing Complin could not have been foreseen ,and it might have been a completely different outcome.

Even with Complin, I didn’t think this was a top four team. I’m not mad about it, they got who they wanted (so they said), but they miscalculated in their assessments of some of the riders they brought in.

Replacing Vissing with Flint and Worrall for Brennan was criminal.

Nothing against Flint but he is bang average at Ashfield . Brennan has went up another level this year whilst Worrall has probably dropped a level , Brennan probably wanted a track nearer to his base down south but we have lost out big time after 2 seasons off improvement from him and looks like he is one off the leagues top performers.

Think we need to look at possibly a couple of changes to try and stem the flow of mediocrity.

In a very short space of time, the self imposed no Danes rule looks completely ludicrous whatever its intentions were. Ditching Vissing for Flint was just mental. Brennan needed pastures new however Stevie W I agree wasnt the answer.

I still think we would have arrived at this point of having to restructure the team, just the Complin situation sped it up a week or two. Some flawed thinking over the winter that clearly hasn't worked out. Thank goodness Pearson has exceeded expectations.

Getting Leon on a 6.40 was a big mistake as he was never going to get it much higher especially riding at Ashfield, to me more likely for it to drop, the only reason it did go up slightly was because he was always riding with Starke who to me was only signed because the promotion spent all their points on two riders who weren't going to improve. You need riders who aren't afraid to attack the track, Flint and Worrall (especially Worrall) won't, problem is I don't see the promotion dropping either. The only reason I can see them signing all Brits (and Pearson) is to save some pennies to give the top league a go next year.

I actually wouldn't have signed Brennan this year, I think the form he is on now is due to not riding at Glasgow, to me he just couldn't quite understand the track and that was affecting him, happy to see him riding well though.

Bet he understands the track when he comes calling with Poole………lol.    I’d gladly have kept him this year……and was it not due to the fact that initially he intimated he might not do the Championship that he wasn’t signed?

He is a good rider so I wouldn't be surprised if he does well. I think his indesision was part of the reason as he would have been a safe signing (and in hindsight a one we should have done) but he was in a bit of a slump at home (or maybe just inconsistent, can't fully remeber), only getting out of it when he got to ride at No2. I would guess that also factored into the desision because if the promoton believed in him they wouldn't have let him go as easily as they seemed to have done.

League meetings weren't the problem, it was BSN and Play off dates which aren't known at the start of the season.. Do we have a Poole fixation? Is that why we signed Worrall, seemingly a Poole specialist?

You should have thought out of the box and signed the likes of tate Zischke and antti voulas   UTC

I really thought Zischke would have been on Glasgow’s radar over the winter. He was certainly on my personal team building list.
