Glasgow Tigers 2024

But Lisa they won the league end of no ifs and buts, you can’t harp back to what’s gone on before history is history this season there promotion and manager out foxed yours and the rest of us by winning the league.like I say what went on before this year is history Glasgow are the reigning champs and well done Glasgow and now the fords are up against a formidable force in the owners of Glasgow and there cheque book is probably a lot bigger than the fords and they will want to do it again next year just be big enough to admit you blew it like we all did and Glasgow are now the team at the top and Poole and the rest of us are the chasers not the champs.

Why would they want Matt ford to build there team there the champions not the losers.

The Facennas visited Matt inPoole a couple of seasons ago to get all the hints and tips to build year on year successful teams. Good to see they took it all on board at least for one season! Let's see what happens in 2024. (BTW are Plymouth definitely running)?

Because Matt builds good teams every year, no matter how much you hate it! Last time Poole had a 'struggling season' was 2009. Speaks for itself.

That’s a little unfair on Championship clubs. How many teams have been better than Glasgow over the course of the last five years or so? And that’s no disrespect to other clubs, e.g., Redcar, who have built some very entertaining and challenging teams. Even if they haven’t won the league, plenty of us would make sure we’re in town when they are.

Winning can be fine margins, and so much depends on injuries. But how you go about it is very important too. Just see the NJL debacle this week for that.

Glasgow are in a great position to do things that probably no other club in the country can,so fair play and well done, final two moves reqd, bring in matt ford to build your teams and Pete Adams to manage them!!

And then they would ask for a track that would produce the least entertaining racing in the league, so thanks but no thanks

Certainly gave them a good tip how to sign a Premiership rider on a 5 average lol

Yes they are the champions this season, let's see if they can now win it on a regular basis, then you can start  comparing them with Poole

BTW why would you ask,or do you just want to gloat if they don't. More neutral fans would be disappointed if they didn't than if Poole did not run, that's if they are running especially as 2024 will be the last at Wimborne Road.

Really? This doesn't shine either of you in a good light. Hopefully both clubs will run into the future.

Asking if Plymouth are hoping to run is surely a fair question in.light of Mark Philips' recent statements re lack of finance?! It could have a bearing on the final points limit. Why would any club wish to lose a 'local derby' even if it means meeting 6 times a season? You are so tetchy Lewy!

I would live a face to face conversation with Skidder1, maybe it will happen next year.

As I'm unable to do away meetings any more it'll have to be if you travel up to Poole. Hopefully I'll be in my usual grandstand seat overlooking the start/finish line.

I may get to poole next season if so I will find you. Usually have a beer or 2 with some pool fans in the pub just up the road from the stadium.

Glasgow have built a good team every season since 2015, since the Facennas took over, they've always been a top 4 club (I think). Not as successful as Poole, but that doesn't mean they can't build a strong team.

How much does a manager effect a teams fortunes. Cami I'd considered by many to be a poor manager, regularly makes odd heat 15 choices, doesn't put his top 2 at 1+5 (a nit pick of mine) gives his weakest rider an unnecessary 4th ride - but still won the league.

Stuart Dickson has a reputation of being a good manager, tactically astute, but his changes made Leicester worse & didn't help Birmingham much.

Pete Adams has won many titles, but in recent years Wolves had made the play-offs but then proceed to lose home & away on the semis!
