Its due to only racing each team once home and away . If we're only going with nine teams then forget the BSN thing and go with two home and away league meetings . We could be racing every week then .

That would be to easy !

But the likes of Poole and Plymouth would not like coming north every week for away matches

Hardly every month never mind every week, and isn't it the same distance from Glasgow to Poole/Plymouth  as Poole/ Plymouth to Glasgow.

Plymouth can barely be bothered to run home matches half the time, so I wouldn't worry too much about them.

Plymouth are certainly in a mess on track and off , bet all involved regret trying to improve the track and indeed making it worse.

Years ago I'd have agreed with you. Not so much nowadays. There seems to be far more rain-offs than before, current machinery not suited to racing unless a track is perfect. Plus there's 4 Friday tracks, so fitting in postponed meetings would be difficult.

Some clubs seem reluctant to help others where there's no obvious reason they can't race on a particular date?

There's been competitions not finished, finals raced on neutral tracks, finals raced in November.

If they got rid of play-offs, so clubs had until the end of October to complete the fixtures it could work. But once they have to finish early to fit in the play-offs, problems will occur.

One option could be to extend the BSN series (race an extra couple of clubs) or in Glasgow's case, enter the NDL.

I'd like to see,

1. 2 home and 2 away to decide the League Champions.

2. Then have a top 4 team Superfinal for the top 4 teams, rotate annually which track gets the superfinal.

3. Then have a 1off Premier Champs vs. Championship Champs Meeting.

And no other competitions.

Or join the NDL

How would you rotate the superfinal if different clubs qualify each year?

Needs some thought that, or maybe it is held at the NSS?....or drawn from one of the 5th to 9th place finishers tracks.....dunno.  Denmark do this and rotate the venue, not sure what decides where the superfinal is?

Neutral venue won't work. That was the initial plan for the ill fated Jubilee Competition. Nuff said!

Ten years ago, Glasgow raced on a Sunday and you knew there would be a meeting most Sundays with an occassional blank Sunday (although usually due to the weather).  Now its a case of trying to figure out which Fridays have meetings rather than which dont.  You need some sort of continuity.  As for those suggesting join the NDL to fill in the gaps, you can tell from the numbers that turn out to recent and previous neutral, qualifying or Junior events that the fans wont come out and support it
