I don't think the levels of Monarchs' invincibility at sunny Armadale is in any way connected to the identity of the track curator. A decent home team will, more often than not, prevail whereas a 'lesser strength' home team is a lot more vulnerable.

Nickinho
I'd completely forgotten about the u21 final until it was mentioned at Armadale last night. I hope the Tigers lads do well but the racing was good last year and well worth the admission. I'm looking forward to it and the weather should be glorious. Weeyin
Our season is going nowhere which is disappointing after last year's success , we sorely miss the excitement and scoring power of Basso, he was worth entrance money alone. Dropping the points limit so dramatically has affected us more than most as had to lose a few, not bringing back Claus was a major faux pax, I think Tom was always going to leave. We only have 1 exciting racer in the team in Chris Harris and he can't do it all, as for changes, where would they come from as not a lot out there. The added 1.5 increase from anyone in the prem coming in does hinder progress for some of the youngsters like Anders Rowe who is not a 7 plus championship rider but is now saddled with that average. The powers that be have destroyed the championship to benefit the premiership. Championship has been the better league for so long, as for Glasgow ,we should have gone up and kept most of last year's team but alas it was not to be, I have supported the tigers when we were always in bottom 3 of the league so this year's results are not new to me , however it is frustrating when all but 2 riders have increased their average , which are James Pearson and Ace Pijper since previous green sheets. If changes are going to be made then so be it, if not lets support the team and start planning for next season, reckon we must be favourite for the wooden spoon which will please many as they think we flash the cash, which if you ask any of the riders they certainly don't. What is your problem with Pearson - 1st race for Glasgow wins the race and has a 5:1 with Harris, he came in on a 4.2 average - Currently is home average is 2nd at 7.00 and his 2024 average is 4.96. Started at number 2 and then moved to number 4 and has consistently beaten our number 3 who also races in the premiership of which Pearson doesn’t - what more do you want from him??? My opinion is he and Harris are the only two performing.

Anders will come in on a 6.45 if the same nonsense applies. He'll never ride in the Championship again, bet he's well chuffed he passed Richie Lawson half a dozen times when they were on a 3-3 of 5-
Wee Eck
With this looking like one of the most unsettled and least able Glasgow teams for many years, will the promotion - and supporters - accept a mediocre season or will changes be made? I rather suspect the latter. The Tigers are the only team whose 1 June collective averages are lower than they were on 1 May. There are no stand out fails, just, with few exceptions, collective under performance. Alan Dick has good contacts across Europe and I’m sure he’ll be looking for alternatives, maybe a young Swede or Dane? I expect some big changes to come. I thought a few weeks back that a swap with a northern team was a possibility but the 1 June averages have messed that up so it’ll be rider(s) out and rider(s) in. And maybe a little more flair when it comes to the 2025 team?

Alan Dick did not want foreigners due to the extreme difficulty in reorganising rain offs last season with most of our riders in various leagues
TheWellBehavedWorrall
It’ll be interesting to see how quickly changes are made. Given the investments made by the Facenna family, I can’t imagine they’ll have much appetite for waiting until the season is a write-off. I’m assuming any changes will be influenced by who’s available, but selecting who to drop will be a headache. It’s felt like a collective underperformance as opposed to blatant individual failings. If someone had a gun to my head, I’d say Starke and Worrall had to make way. Credit where it’s due, Flint’s recent form has improved, so I’d save him.
