That doesnt strengthen us in any way and writes off a top four finish... and our season. It's the middle order id be looking at,as in Flint and Paul. Take Jack out you have 4.3..something to replace in June with the +0.5 team building. Which would mean putting an untested rider in to our already weak 2nd string. Since Paul would drop to 6. Personally id go through the polish league grab the strongest heat leader in league 2 on a 6, And get Kai huckenbeck for 8.5. At least make it fun till the end of the season. So if the Aussie was to come in one for one it would be for Paul. Paul currently has a GSA of 3.52 which will fall for June, so not sure we can do a one for one change. Are we looking at three out - Paul, Lee and one other possibly Leon?

Given Bomber and James are the two who are doing the business right now, I think that’s a bad idea. Sack Leon and the team dynamic will fall apart IMO. Anyway just changing out Lee and Paul won't improve us. Jack doesn't seem to be included in our team declarations so it looks like he is just guesting, which probably gives us more flexibility. MB723
Since he's ridden here before maybe Victor Palovaara? Might come in on a 5 depending on his sweedish average.

Main concern regarding Heatleaders is BOTH Worrell and Flint haven’t really shown up in the big races. The others are a nightmare bar Pearson. Neila
I know the tiggers usually have cash to splash, but I doubt they are many riders available to fill any mid / lower order team places, so I would think the money is kept in their pockets till next year, a little tweak at reserve to replace complin and that's its imo.even then I'm struggling to think of anyone available, unless a retired rider can be tempted back
Paulco
Think we just have to accept that mistakes have been made over the winter , and the Complin thing couldn't have been forseen . With no real viable alternatives , we just see the season out with what we have
Biffa
If Jack is not named in your 7, just guesting & Nathan Ablitt is back in the Scunthorpe/Sheffield team, will Jack be allowed to guest as he has no team ?
Biffa
Apparently now named in your 1-7 on the Averages section.
Weeyin
So looking at the current greensheets we are rock bottom in the averages along with Redcar and Edinburgh all sitting under 38, this season's team building was a monumental c***k up and we need to live with that, try and win all our home meetings and plan for next season, at least the racing is spectacular, we have been mince in the past, will be character building this year for sure, new fans expect to win at all costs whereas us oldies enjoyed speedway when we were bottom of the league. Good luck to my second team this season Workington, will be interesting following their exploits

K7KDD
If only winning the league in 2023 meant we kept the momentum and had a go at the premier this year.....we'd have perhaps kept Ben Basso and enticed Tarasenko who loved our place to stay. I am sure we would have visitors from Edinburgh and Berwick just in to watch the likes of Sayfutinov, Bewley, Holder and Doyle. Couple that with a big name from Poland like Janowski and the Polish fan base, (large population in Glasgow), with a bit of PR, this would have been a success, I'm sure of it. We can but dream. Like Weeyin.....I'm also following Worky this year as the team is just far more interesting.

How a club that could up to now pull good riders from nowhere when no one was seemingly available and play the average system to their absolute advantage, could put together this years' 1-7 is beyond me. There will definitely be some acclimatisation for the newbies who've only known success and perhaps a reality check for the long termers.

Signing 2 HLs who have never, imo, impressed at ashfield was bonkers. I don't know if no one else was available or was a concerted effort to sign them. But you need the riders to improve averages to be successful, and a strong home average usually comes with that!

From memory we signed our team quite early, suggesting these were the guys we wanted. Perhaps too early for Brennan. Throw in a strange decision not to have Danes this year and a couple of doubtful choices and you end up with a pretty poor team. Worrall might have been signed as he was perceived as a Poole specialist; Flint was a shot in the dark while Starke was signed for old times sake. A strong top two -second only to Oxford if based on averages- and high averaged reserves, squeezed the middle and left little scope for manoeuvre. Thank goodness for James P. Cast1rn
Jack Smith signed for the rest of the season, so get your calculators out for June if you are expecting any changes.
