Is this Ryan Douglas's last meeting in Scunthorpe colours? If it is I am surprised nothing has been said by the club.

Really hope this isn't the case but can understand if he chooses to only do the Prem next year. Already a Scunthorpe legend, and I am sure he will be back in the future if not next season

It's obviously not going to happen but it is funny that we have this situation with Tarasenko.

a) he can't guest because he's on an assessed average in his first season

b) he's got an established average for Peterborough so is allowed to guest

c) his average fits for Kemp so he's allowed to guest then

d) his Peterborough average is too high so he can't guest

A rider who simultaneously has an established average, while not having an established average, who is eligible to guest, but also isn't eligible to guest.

You work out the rules,Lambert had an assessed average but was allowed to guest because of a previous MA!

A situation that will be swept under the carpet at the AGM, British Speedway at its finest

Lets be honest, the fact that Tarasenko can't guest for Kemp will please Rob Godfrey's wallet more than it does any Poole fan

I am out tomorrow until late afternoon/early evening. Ordered the live stream. Does it work until midnight like the Edinburgh one? Can I watch it after the event?

I don't see why not, you can still pay to watch previous meetings!

I hope the rugby doesn't affect the crowd too much.

Do people in any great numbers watch rugby? A fraction of what watch the football. Yes a lot more than watch speedway but probably wouldn’t affect the crowd by more than a handful.

Its England v Fiji in the Rugby World Cup, kick off 4pm and live on mainstream tv, ie ITV1

Yes I know that.  I have a lot of friends who are big sports fans but think only one of them is actually looking forward to watching it. I love sport myself and watch many sports but rugby isn’t one of them. Tried to watch a match with England recently when a player got sent off for accidentally clashing heads with an opposition player. A nonsense call, as are so many of the rules in that sport.

Hard to watch and even if it didnt clash with the speedway I wouldn’t watch it. I know it has a following and some like it but it doesn’t have a decent following compared to the footy. If I as given free tickets for Twickenham I wouldn’t go. But that’s just me. Rather watch footy, cricket, speedway. Same goes for American Football. Attended a match once at Wembley New England v Tampa Bay. Was boring and nearly left at half time.

I think any effect on today's attendance is more likely to be 'freeze your proverbials off in the sunshine at speedway or sit in the comfort of your warm home watching the National Team in a World Cup'?

Don't watch American Football personally but I like Rugby and the world cup has been good and now we are at the quarter final stage so getting more exciting. They are trying to stop the head clashes which is good but go too far sometimes. Anyway the meeting could affect the crowd but hopefully not too much. Rain maybe the winner wednesday looking at the forecast.
