RS50
Concerning as have seen stock cars run in far worse conditions than speedway. More rain forecast between now and Thursday.
OveFundinFan
Same story every beginning to a season....arrange to hold speedway in March and be prepared for cancellations galore.....it's inevitable......until global warming alters things for better weather. And many times April is not much better.
FishersGate
Spoke to the track man at leicester who also does Sheffield and says it would take a miracle for speedway to run on Thursday.
Cue Ball
Not going to lie, I can’t make it on Thursday so selfishly wouldn't mind a cancellation
4BenMoran
Do they need more time to prep the track for stock cars than they do for speedway and with dogs being on 6 days a week they just can’t do it in time for Monday? Forecast looks to be improving with only showers now around mid day on Weds and Thurs and not the usual 95% probability!!

Hooky
Is Howarths testimonial protecting him from getting binned? What’s more important to the promotion? Watch this space

Watch this space There's no evidence that Howarth's testimonial is on the promoters mind, they could simply be giving a struggling rider time to turn things round. Not every club drops a rider who isn't performing ASAP Edited May 14 by szkocjasid
4BenMoran
Howarth has had two meetings where he rode under his 5 point average (the last two home meetings) it’s not like he’s been scoring 1’s and 2’s in every meeting. The testimonial is a stand alone event, plenty of riders have had testimonials attacks where they no longer ride at, hopefully the promotion stick with him and give him the chance to ride into form
Cue Ball
Any word on how Josh P is doing? Or Jason? Or Dan?

4BenMoran
Jason said on BSN that he’d be back riding for Sheffield this Thursday 23rd (Leicester at home). Dan had concussion on Wednesday last week 15th with the 9 day rule he should be out until Saturday 25th.

4BenMoran
No chance Sheffield will take Cook on again after his previous stint there it didn’t end very well from what I know. Also his ‘special’ set up from his Oxford visit earlier this season has run out of that F&F juice if we’re going on his scores since then

I can see Oxford releasing Lewis Kerr. And given the choice between Kyle Howarth and Lewis Kerr, I would go for Kyle.
Cue Ball
Was going to suggest Berge as an option… but see that he is on the injured list. Kyle is having a rough patch, but don’t think there are any options out there, so better the devil you know and trust that he will get his mojo back
4BenMoran
Kyle seemed to have more speed on Friday for Scunthorpe, hopefully he’s managed to get to the bottom of his lack of speed so far this season. Sounds like someone been having a spin at Owlerton tonight, or might be my ears playing tricks on me!!
szkocjasid
Dan Gilkes signs for Redcar. More track time over here should help his scores for Sheffield I'd expect
