Straights to be lengthened and widened, which will make entry and exits to and from bends wider, bends 3 and 4 will be higher to help with drainage and well banked, alot to do but we have a good team of workers.

Keeping fingers crossed that improvements work out. Many clubs have fallen foul of soft/boggy areas and suffered poor opening meetings after improvements. torpointfanatic22
Local rag in Plymouth has Mark Phillips saying he's got 5 riders signed, although hasn't named them as yet, with Ben Trigger definitely not returning. Also says we've got virtually 10 points to play with for the last two. Edited November 30, 2023 by torpointfanatic22
Mike0310
Start naming them
SteveLyric2
So if 'virtually 10 points' left for the final 2 riders, Barker on 7.42 will leave around 20+ points for the other 4 riders signed up. Assuming there are 2x 2pointers (or a 2 and a 3), that would still leave enough for an 8pointer and 7 pointer.
Mike0310
Most heat leaders are signed up skidder that’s what’s worrying me
lewy
1. Barker 6 x 5pters Strength in depth.
stevehone
track shape being altered is good, is the surface being changed too?

Don’t understand why you’d go a whole season with Trigger pretty much out of his depth at reserve, then not use him the next season when there should be some benefit? Love the idea of strength in depth, only problem with that sort of team, is we may struggle to beat any heat leaders, especially away. No question we were left too weak at the bottom end last season so hopefully we'll have a different make up this year. The likes of Gilkes, Kemp, Dan Thompson are all around that figure and would have potential to improve (appreciating rumours of where they may be going). Just hope we don't go down the route of riders like Newman who have an inflated average due to their form at their home track from last season and would likely drop their average this. It is an odd one, I thought he'd be a shoe in. But the paper did go on to say that Trigger's dad, Lee, was keen to know if he was in the plans for Plymouth or not as he wanted to secure a place elsewhere if he wasn't. At that time Plymouth weren't sure if he would be, so agreed for him to seek a place elsewhere so he wouldn't miss out. It may point to us looking at having a stronger tail given we were too exposed at reserve last season.

Don't be daft, that "5 year plan" only lasted one year in the Championship. Credit to the Prem for keeping it.

HGould
Might be a blessing as he was allegedly mopping up big chunks of local sponsorship If that now goes to the Club and other riders it may make the overall Club package far more attractive. He needs at least another season in NDL.
