According to Plymouth owner Mark Philips in his p&p interview (available on fb etc), the club has til Wednesday - 72 hours before their first fixture -  to make a signing in order to take their place in the League!!!

It wont and shouldn't come to that, Plymouth will have the use of an NDL guest until such time they find a replacement for Covatti.

Certainly puts a spanner in the works...

At least he hasn't got the flue....

Wouldn't pay him in washers...

For Plymouth, the heat is on...

Etc etc etc...

I'll get me coat...

Trying to sign a rider will have sent the promotion round the u-bend but come the end of the season they are hoping to be flushed with success, maybe that is a pipe dream though.

I`ll get your coat.

Are you sure? As far as I'm aware there's no such rule as a NL guest? If you're not allowed a facility it's 75% of the missing riders average.

Got to feel for Plymouth, obviously running to a budget, can't pick a rider out of thin air, been soggy all winter while major track work has been going on, now still soggy and the track is struggling to dry out, then your 1st meeting on a bank holiday weekend against a side that will pull in the fans, home and away, now in doubt due to incomplete team and a dodgy track. Hope the meeting is on at the weekend as it could make or break the full season

Anyway couldn't they just sign (say) Dimitri Berge, have him not turn up and then use a 75% guest?

Press and practice cancelled due to track conditions   have you not seen the track work over winter? Very soggy to say the least and some major work got done,  see photos on Facebook, hope it drys out in time for the weekend

Looking at a picture of track work before it is finished is not anything to go by IMO.

Looking at photos on Facebook it was more like major reconstruction to extend the track, well done Plymouth for doing this, but think the soggy winter has caught them out a bit, just hope it's dry in the next few days . Forecast windy and showers so hopefully the track will dry out before Saturday

Didn't wolves get the 75% guest facility for Becker, and James wright at Birmingham too? Didn't he get injured in a testimonial at Plymouth before had ridden for Brummies? Don't know why Plymouth wouldn't at worst get that facility

Expand

Yeah this '75% guest rule' is in the 2024 rulebook under no facility, so at worst Plymouth could just get a guest up to 5.87 avg.

Looking at a list of these riders from what I can see aren't already riding on Saturday;

Castagna
Heeps
Atkins
Lambert
Mountain
Knudsen
Bailey

etc.
