From the Leicester website:

LEICESTER'S NDL Grand Final and KO Cup Final fixtures have been re-arranged for next Saturday, October 28.

The clashes with Oxford and Mildenhall will be a double header starting with the Chargers match at 6.30pm, and followed up by the Fen Tigers.

Should the weather intervene once again, the meeting will switch to Sunday afternoon at 3pm

2nd leg, if the 1st leg takes place on either of the dates above will be on Halloween

So start the meeting at 6.30pm when it's already cold and damp and then run another meeting afterwards..?? Sheer madness but speedway all over.

We'll get a few posters off here (not you or me of course) and there will plenty of hot air :D

It would be funny if it wasn't so serious

You definitely won't see me there, had my fill of all sorts of riders trying to make a fist of it in atrocious conditions just because it's a final over the years.

Seem to remember this Leicester track is very boggy, poorly drained and caused fixture pile ups last season.  Now trying to run double headers in early winter , with fans freezing their  **** off.

RIDICULOUS.

Now we have fixture pile ups in the NDL, which has only a handful of clubs , some of whom don't even take part in the KO Cup.

One cannot see this league surviving another season.

From the Oxford website :-

THE new date for the home leg of our National League Grand Final against Leicester Lion Cubs has been set as Tuesday, October 31st at 7.30pm.

Oxford have been warned that by waiting until 31st October that if the meeting gets cancelled due to weather then the result will be taken just from the away leg at Leicester.

SCB wanted the meeting to take place today or Thursday but Oxford have decided to wait

If both meetings get cancelled due to the weather then it will be decided upon final league position

Looks like Leicester have all the advantages in this.

The fixture pile up in NDL is on the same level as Championship like you say ridiculous.

So if Leicester don't run the meeting on either Saturday or Sunday and let's be honest they need to call it early both days. But Oxford run there's on Halloween does that leg then become winner takes all ?

Yes that is my understanding if Leicester is off Saturday,Sunday & Monday but Oxford goes ahead it will be a winner takes all final .

The same applies to the KO Cup if that does not get completed at the weekend it will be awarded just on the 1st leg at Mildenhall

Henry Atkins unavailable for Oxford on Saturday due to a family commitment.

Kai Ward replaces him.

With due respect to Kai, that's a big drop in scoring potential.
