Was all going so well with the first 4 as well. Horrendous signing.

Couldn’t agree more. Fair enough make the same mistake twice but to do it 3 years in a row now is a disgrace.
It doesn’t take a genius to work out that he’s awful away from home and bang average at home.
Feel for Stewart Dickson as id imagine this signing has been forced on him and has ruined a promising team!

Perhaps difference will be Stewart won't accept sub standard performances and let's the riders know about it when not up to standard. Might get him out the comfort zone he's clearly been in last few years? Pretty strong top 5 considering the reduced limit imo

If he gets round the first bend without damaging his collar bone he'll be just fine.Bit of a big if though.

That’s the bottom line with him .Too say he grabbed vital points on the road last season is a bit of a myth.Good luck to him next season though.

Very pleased to have Jye back to solidify the team's home scoring.   The Jye who rode home and away against Plymouth, and played a (very) big part in winning the Premiership for Sheffield in their last match, will do very nicely.

Would’ve been great if he only rode 3 meetings all season.
What about the other 20 when he didn’t show up? Zero consistency, shouldn’t be in the team.

Not exactly hard against both those Plymouth teams, it's against other clubs he needs to up his game and get some consistency hopefully as said previously Dickson won't stand for inconsistency.

Not his points scoring that's a problem for me (although that's important), it's how he tries, even when last racing for Sheffield and Belle Vue but gives up when racing for Berwick.

The big difference with Jye’s end of season upturn in form was I believe down to a change of engine tuner. On his day, he has and can beat anyone around Shielfield. And I’m fairly sure the Stewart Dickson presence will keep him under no illusion as to his future if he doesn’t perform.

1) if he was more consistent he'd have a 7+ average & wouldn't fit in the team

2) who would you pick instead?

He would have been one of the 1st picks if that was the case.So it down to how the Team was assembled and there not many Berwick fans reckoned he wouldn’t be back given his circumstances. He was generally poor away last season.
