Interesting move having Jack at no8……

Just sensible, really. Gives Ace a chance without having all the pressure, especially with R/R for Claus. If Ace can ride, he is an upgrade on Jack.

It's hard to justify an #8 during the regular season, but at this stage of the playoffs, it's good insurance.

If it's Glasgow that go through then I don't see them racing at home on the planned Friday looking at the weather forecast.

Hope the fixture can be rearranged for Saturday or Sunday so Pirates still get the 2nd leg next week.

If Glasgow go through they will be made to take the first leg regardless.

Not so sure about that.

Like any other team we've had to take the 1st leg after another meeting has been called off.

Or even run the away 2nd leg at another venue!!

No, I agree with Shovlar on this one. It will be close for the aggregate, and Cami always manages to put too much pressure on the boys (Tom and Ben's faces in the pits against Redcar showed that), we we really should have too much for Oxford.

If someone could kidnap Cami for tonight, we'll do it comfortably. Peter can be the manager for the night... worked a treat in the pairs' competition!

50/50 tie still for me. R/r helps Oxford over Glasgow imo. Nichols only got 6 couple weeks ago be shocked if scores that tonight. Boughen had big confidence boost at Redcar on Saturday bound to have improved. Is ace fit to contribute. Go down to heat 15 imo

I think this meeting will depend on how Sam Masters performs. Oxford only need 40 just to force the race-off so if Sam gets a 15-point maximum which he did at Ashfield last season for the Monarchs then the other five riders just need five points each and with four R/R rides to take and with Scott and Lewis in the Cheetahs colours that's a real possibility.

It's definitely squeeky bum time.

If he gets a 15 points maximum when up against Bomber, Ben and Vadim, fair play. Good as he is, he won't get that if our boys turn up.

I would take all of our top four over the respective Oxford top four at Ashfield.

Now watch, we'll get pumped... and Lee will take a six-ride max.

Agree it is in the balance but in my opinion Oxford losing Jenkins is a major problem  and one not easily covered by r/r.

Got 5 points last visit, should easily manage that since will have a HL in heat 8. Glasgow might get 6 from Claus's rides, his home gsa is over 9

They lost Heeps early on and Boughen took a heavy knock early in the meeting and still got 40pt.Add too that that Nichols was having bike troubles. This will be close IMO.

I am sure Poole will be hoping Oxford make it through, a lot easier to travel to Oxford to support the team than Glasgow and for sure Middlo won’t travel to Glasgow but he might fancy a trip to Oxford to savour what could be another title to the long list.

I just hope for a clean meeting with both sides finishing the night with the same amount of riders as they started and no injuries spoiling the tie, especially from riders being brought down by those of the opposition.
