Indeed sharpenrake ...I'm not sure ace pijper strengthens tigers I hear he is in v Oxford his arm was in a sling only a few days ago & he's not ridden much recently,  jack Smith has much more experience & has done ok In recent meetings not scoring much yes but mixing it well ie unlucky ,he looks better on the bike than ace who looks like he's gonna lock up at every turn & its dangerous to himself & others hence he's taken a few tumbles now the boy is always untidy on the bike his style isn't that good if I'm honest very upright close to bike looks uncomfortable compared to young boughen it's night & day the difference , I know ace is a tigers rider but if this is rushed through & he gets next to no points this could be costly as its gonna be very tight v cheetahs I wud have honestly stuck with jack if we could .. just my opinion & nothing personal against ace but this is do or die now its not about ace or any individual ..its about the team

Whilst I might agree with you in parts the one thing that we must consider is this is British speedway & we do not use a squad system so picking horses for courses is not an option. I'm fairly sure Vissing is fit to race at this stage & his absence is now tactical but of course it also impacts on Sheffield who also race on the Tuesday after the call off at Ipswich, will be keeping an eye on the Premiership match.

How does this affect BSN? Weren’t they supposed to be showing the finals of both prem and championship?

No prem is contracted to eurosport BSN championship but cover premiership matches when eurosport don't

Sheffield will have a say as they are stronger using guests and although Vissing maybe fit it would be very risky to bring him back after injury in such an important meeting and r/r seems to work almost as well. I think Oxford missing Jenkins is a big miss for them and one they will find much more difficult to cover for with r/r.

Yes I see now, I thought they had both but it was the koc finals they had the rights too.

Still I think it’s a bit off that Prem and Champ level can race on the same night, I thought that was why fixed race nights were brought in.

I don’t have Eurosport so it’s an easy choice for me, personally this meeting is the money shot anyway.

No one "should have a say" except Vissing, if he's fit - he should ride, simple.

I certainly hope clubs would have more integrity than telling a riders to stay home as they're stronger without him, maybe I'm just being nieve?

But if he was fit, he would be riding for Sheffield on Tues not Glasgow? Or is it whoever arranged their fixture first?

Personally, I’d leave Vissing out. Cami Brown said he was still wearing a knee brace last week, so there’s no way he’s fully fit this week.

Then again, is that an option in speedway? It isn’t football, where you can pick and choose when to leave a team member out.

The weather here is miserable, lots of rain, but the forecast is sun from around 4PM onwards.

Personally I think we are weaker without Vissing, his r/r scores have been 5 home and away, whereas his scores at home last few matches have been 11+1, 7+2 ( with an exclusion) and 7+1, away have been, 5, 6, 7+1, and11+2, so he is a huge miss especially at home

All the leagues are a "huge squad" for every team to use as and when they need to...

Hence, it clearly operates a horses for courses option depending on who fits, and then, filtered into who rides best where..

That’s a fully fit Claus Vissing though; no doubt an excellent rider around Ashfield, especially.

The concern is his fitness. It’s a significant ask to throw someone who required a knee brace last week to take part in a play-off decider, having not ridden in a meeting for however long it’s been.

Having said that, what you’ve said is interesting - the average points scored by his R/R. 5 isn’t great.

Well if Vissing is not fit tonight, he surely will be for the final in a weeks time so no excuse not to use him. He said he was fit and speedway doesn’t use a squad system, so Glasgow would perhaps need a doctors certificate to counter the rider saying he is fit. It would be very poor to leave a rider out of the team who help get the club to the final in the first place.
