Of course, I forgot it had been moved. Biffa
There must be some BSPL pressure to get this meeting done as I can’t believe anyone would agree to this fixture with all the above riders missing. Feel sorry for the Oxford fans paying to watch this.
Yearbyred
I can’t see may Bears fans bothering with the stream in the circumstances. To keep up with the spirit of it, I’ll see if I can get a guest to watch it for me instead. 3
magnus
Bit of a quandary for Oxford! Will Jenkins and Atkins ride in the NDLRC and take a ban? Or will the powers off speedway do something to alleviate it?
Hilly
I'd be amazed if Jenkins and Atkins don't line up for the Cheetahs.
szkocjasid
Where has the talk of a 1 match ban being given to Jenkins & Atkins come from? I've never heard of that rule? I'm sure in previous seasons the NLRC is the only event that gets priority over the higher leagues, but I kinda expect to see Jenkins & Atkins racing for Oxford, with Kinsley & Killeen / Scott racing in the NLRC. Even if that's not a rule Edited September 20, 2023 by szkocjasid

Even if that's not a rule SR 15.9 refers to the ban. SR 13.3 gives the NDLRC priority over higher fixtures. Bailey is in Poland and Harrison is only a guest for Redcar anyway. It’s just a case of if Jenkins and Atkins are willing to take a one match NDL ban to represent Oxford in the Championship You do know who Crescent Girl is Martin ?

I find it that missing a3rd Tier Riders Championship can result in a ban ,but missing a Championship Riders Final because you are on holiday doesn’t.Plus Couple of others had an excuse. There is a rule that it doesn’t have to be your Top riders though. Bellers101
Riss also scheduled to be riding in the long track nations meeting on the 24th. If all these riders are missing I can't get my head around why it's taking place on this date or why anyone is expected to pay £20 to watch it. Farce, joke sport!

Quite agree, but also will there be enough eligible riders, available to cover, those who are missing.

Biffa
Don’t forget we will be missing Luke Harrison as well. He is only a guest reserve so NDLRC takes priority.

On CLRC 15.8.1 makes it clear that it is top riders by MA . No discretion. For the NDLRC the rules couldn't be more explicit, and I quote verbatim: 15.9 NDL RIDERS CHAMPIONSHIP 015.9.1 Qualifying Criteria To be confirmed I had a bit of a go at BSSPL about this in my programme notes for Oxford v Redcar - in hindsight I think I should have been ruder.

Neila
Surely if the NDLRC is a bspa protected event, very few or no other meetings should be rearranged especially one at Oxford on a 3rd off day of running meetings
