The weather forecast looks a bit bleak for this, but there's a track inspection at 7pm tonight for those thinking of traveling/buying tickets ahead of tomorrow's price increase.

I don't get the track inspection? The heavy rain is coming tomorrow. Unless they have track covers?

I guess it might be a case of it’s already in such a bad state that they can safely call it off early? Or the exact opposite and it’s in a such a good state that it should be able to cope with some rain tomorrow - although I doubt it. Your guess is as good as mine, really.

It's OFF:
Copied and Pasted off Facebook:
MEETING POSTPONED

We have made the difficult decision to postpone Wednesday night’s fixture 20th September against Redcar due to the weather conditions forecasted for tomorrow.

A rescheduled date will be announced ASAP once we receive approval from BSPL & Redcar speedway

All purchased tickets remain valid for the rescheduled fixture, or a full refund can be processed if you're unable to attend by emailing us.

Your guess is actually very accurate. An early rain off is usually decided on the state of the current track and whether it can take the forecasted rain.

There's a bit of a grey area regarding the fixture clash with the NDLRC at Worky........

While CabDirect Championship matches usually take precedence over NDL-level events, the NDLRC is (I presume) a BSP Ltd "purchased Event" and the rule-book says:

010.5 FACILITIES   A team may utilise a facility to cover the absence of a rider(s) who is: -

 e) engaged elsewhere at a BSP LTD shared or purchased event.

Which I think -- only think -- means the nominated riders from Redcar and Oxford will be at Northside...........

Redcar have no riders in the NDLRC. Bailey is in Poland and Harrison is only a guest for Redcar anyway.

It’s just a case of if Jenkins and Atkins are willing to take a one match NDL ban to represent Oxford in the Championship

But wouldn't that ban be the play-off final?
