mikebv
26 minutes ago, WembleyLion said: Difficult to keep up with change after change. Even more difficult to bother..... The play offs will probably have teams made up of all and sundry, and that is perfectly fitting as to get there each would no doubt have had "some help" from their "supposed" competitors.... But they will also get decent crowds which, at the end of the day, is the only thing that matters...
Bash
Could be a tough meeting against Leicester in our next meeting if Emil is to miss it after the crash last night. With all teams except BV riding, can't see either Bewley or Kurtz accepting a guest booking (or as some say not being allowed to by BV). Scott and RR won't be enough with the form Leicester are in

Scott and RR won't be enough with the form Leicester are in If Leicester don’t beat us then Sheffield probably will the following Monday. Severely limited options. We’ve carried the loss of Doyle brilliantly since May but trying to cover the best top two in the league with the options available is impossible. Fully expect Sheffield to now finish top, meaning we’ll more than likely face Belle Vue in the semi finals if Leicester don’t pip them and finish 3rd. Bash
Again against Sheffield only BV not riding, same scenario as against Leicester. Could work in BV favour as they would get some practice at Ipswich if they let either Bewley or Kurtz guest as they ride at Ipswich the same week as the Sheffield match

In 1985 Ipswich ran double R/R against cradley. We had lost billy sanders in April and I think John cook had a compulsory home trip. I think Ipswich won 42-36 that night. Not seen double R/R since then.

Vs. Leicester the Witches might look like this 1 Nicholls (G) 2 Blodorn (G) 3 Ellis / King 4 Thompson 5 Ellis / King 6 Rew 7 Jenkins
Aries
Nicholls and Blodorn for Doyle and Sayfutdinov? Crikey. Leicester, Sheffield and Belle Vue will all be smelling blood in the coming weeks. Personally I think it’ll be Nicholls and rider replacement for Leicester. The Sheffield meeting on the Monday is going to be the biggest problem. Only Belle Vue not riding and Nicholls will be on Eurosport duty! So in all likelihood it’ll be Blodorn and R/R for Doyle and Emil LOL. Edited August 10 by Aries

Arch Stanton
Are either or both Kurtz and Bewley based in the UK? Don’t think Kurtz is but Bewley? If they’re not, then you can understand neither changing their plans to fly in for a guest booking. The Ipswich promotion will almost certainly be asking the question though as they’re the only option they have. These new rules are a joke. Even if a rider now makes themselves available Ipswich couldn’t sign them as a temporary replacement, they’d have to use guests instead. Why not use more common sense to these daft rules? What’s wrong with not allowing strategic changes after a certain point, but allowing a signing to replace an injured rider?

ShanoXtra
What is the betting that Emil’s first return is back at the track he crashed at! I can’t see him risking anything in England. He won’t ride Torun this weekend as they are playoff bound anyway. Their play offs kick off back end of August so he will ride for that due to Poland pushing riders hard. So he won’t come back to England until September… first match. Cup final first leg, where? Sheffield!

StarBoy
This is coming from a Lynn fan, I do hope Emil comes back. One of the nicest guys in speedway and pure entertainment. However, you may find yourselves in a similar situation to what we did with Vadim and Artem - fail to comply with what the Polish authorities/Torun say, or his Polish license might be revoked meaning he won’t be able to ride in Poland on his Russian one
