Not sure too many would be disappointed with him. Presumably he’d come in on 8, so that leaves the question on what you do with the extra point (1.16). I wonder if they might be holding on until early next week for a decision on team changes to make sure Ellis and King come through the British final unscathed? Expand Jenkins has picked up a little, but it’s a pretty low bar. He’s been generally poor this season so far in both leagues, but as you say, he’s won a couple of important races recently. BUT, Hawkins said this on the official website this week.. ”we will look at options and see what we can do, and we will do what is best for Ipswich Speedway and do our very best to make us the strongest team out on track” There can’t be an argument that if an 8 point man is brought in to replace Doyle, then another change (i.e Cook for Jenkins) would make the team stronger. Is not replacing Jenkins with Cook “doing what is best for Ipswich Speedway to make us the strongest team out on track”? The obvious answer is no. I’m with you though, I think it’ll be a straight swap for Doyle and that’ll be that. But it could end up being another opportunity missed.
