Just back from P & P, and as per usual they all look super quick and very professional.  Lovely having a catch up with everyone,  ready for next week now, bring it on.

the riding order. At least to start with.

Bit of a surprise as teams normally go with the weakest member of the top 5 at 2. That’s a strong looking opening pairing though and should be getting the team off to a good start in meetings. Ellis in heat 8 should pick up plenty of heat wins also.

Makes sense to me as a starting point - king and rew started to find a good understanding on track last season, rew was pretty handy on the inside with king outside team riding. Ellis typically opens the throttle and heads for the outside similar to king, as a pair could see them getting in each others way on the outside.

I'd have Sayfutdinov & Doyle at 1 & 5 (depending who's higher at the time).

King at 3 or 4.

Rew & Ellis at 2,3 or 4.

Jenkins when he moves into the top 5 at number 2.

Don't see why they can't swap riders around based on the opposition. Not that you see many managers do that.

Hawkins is one that does actually. He was constantly changing the riding order from meeting to meeting last season, but that looks like the order for Belle Vue on Thursday to start with.
