So, you're saying Robert Lambert isn't a marquee rider in this generation??

Read what I said... marquee signing

I'm waiting to giggle at who you call a marquee signing in 2024 if Robert Lambert hasn't been one of them over the last 2/3 years.

Robert Lambert a King's Lynn asset. He is home grown talent, who turns up if and when he can/wants, if he can be persuaded! I'm talking a marquee signing, an Emil, a Jack Holder, a Tai Woffinden, a Max Fricke, signed from the start of the season and not binned off halfway through.

I know it's nice to dream and fun to speculate... but who was King's Lynn's last big marquee signing? Artem Laguta, and he cleared off after a handful of matches because you couldn't afford him, before that? Jason Crump, some 25 years ago! Lynn fans need to get real!

Kenneth Bjerre - 2011 GP rider and World no. 7

Niels Kristian Iversen - former world no.3 and in his prime was at King’s Lynn

Chris Holder - Former World Champion (know it didn’t work out but intent was there)

Over 10 years ago, a very different time in British Speedway

 so because Lambert is an asset he's not marquee.

Max Fricke

Jack Holder

It's irrelevant when they sign, they've signed.

So we're straight, you can only be a marquee signing if you start the season & you must be foreign??

No you must be a world class rider and here for the long haul. Play off Bob has blown you and British Speedway out, you need to understand this. The topic of this thread is "serious team predictions"

Good to know, so we're clear. Birmingham have just signed plain old 'run of the mill' Lindgren??

Well it’s that you just said none in the last 25 years, I was just giving a few names within that timeframe

Birmingham are as big a joke as you lot are. Lambert has only become truly world class since he left the psychodrama that is King's Lynn speedway behind.

Yes, thanks for that, I agree with you. It was more of a question than a statement. It's still a long time ago though.

2023 bottom

2022 bottom but one

2021 bottom

2019 bottom but one

2018 top, lost to Poole

2017 bottom but one

2016 bottom but two

2015 5th out of 8

2014 2nd, out in the semis

2013 5th out of 10

2012 7th out of 10

2011 3rd out of 10

With the exception of 2018, Lynn have been pretty crap since 2016 and pretty much a laughing stock in more recent times with all of the call offs etc

What's the anger all about this morning Ian?

Take a seat on the couch and tell us all about it.

Not angry at all, I actually find it all quite amusing... reading all these silly names being mentioned in relation to King's Lynn on a "serious team predictions" topic. MPT will come back and you'll possibly get Zach Cook and/or Connor Mountain for somebody imo. The days of Buster marching up and down the pits at the SoN waving his cheque book around are long gone!

Once again this is not a constructive reply of any kind, It's just a load of nonsense thrown together that's completely off topic which goes to prove my point.....AGAIN!

The Army of Ninja's needs to up it's game drastically and come at me with an argument in defence of Buster for the comments that he made on the mic at Peterborough last year.

Then I want the Ninja's to follow that up with a logical explanation as to why Panthers fans shouldn't hold a grudge against the guy for the comments made and for the lack of effort (None) that he's put in to try and save the club.

I will reply, but i'm not getting into a slanging match. I know i will get the usual stick i've had all last season, starting from your first meeting when NP fell, some unfairly imho..

I'm not the most articulate of people by a long shot, but..

Firstly i will apologise for mentioning ALF on the forum. I shouldn't of mentioned that. But i still think it's you ;)Friday is my pub day, and i was a tad pi%%ed and wound up with all the crap Lynn/ Buster is getting of late. Like yourself, i'm passionate about my club.

Just a couple of things.I'm pretty sure that Mick Bratley said on here that Buster couldn't rock the boat when the season was running (apologies if i'm wrong).. That might go some way to explaining what he said over the mic( but i don't know). And tbh do you 100%, or anyone else for that matter. Iknow Buster wanted out at the end of last season, and that he doesn't seem to involved with trying to save the club btw.

Regarding the fence, lights etc, Bratley also said that" Buster wasn't the bad guy here" regarding them. If he didn't remove them, they would get someone who will, and would bill Buster for it.

As for not selling the club (or what's left) to the consortium.. He is going to, but it has been said that they won't buy it yet!! , because they don't have anywhere to race. I know from someone as close as you can get, that Buster thought the club was as good as sold to MT, and he told me he had seen plenty of proof of that. CJ also said they had found land. So to me it looks like MT spouting what seems to have been rubbish, that he either couldn't or wouldn't back up.

I know BC isn't perfect by a long way, and i'm certainly not a bloody Ninja:). I've given him some stick on here in the past. It's just some things( not all) i think he gets undeserved stick for. Thats all, because we don't want to fill the Lynn thread with PB's problems.

Wrong!!!!        Since he left British Speedway behind is more accurate,

F all to do with Kings Lynn. At that time the SCB not the BSPA/L refused to let him ride a 500cc motorcycle so Robert et al upped sticks and effed off to Germany.

Despite that Robert is fully committed and moreso once he has agreed to race for any club and this is all subject to his ongoing commitments. He gives his word and he keeps it so the diary has to work or he ain't doing a Laguta !!!   Please don't speculate on someone/something that you do not fully understand, it really is time someone banged your speculative inconsiderate opinions where they belong.
