It's totally irrelevant because King's Lynn have a 28 day facility. Basso & King's Lynn can do as they please for 28 days from the 5th August.

No bans can be introduced once a facility has been granted.

Absolutely nothing to see here, neeeeext.

You're forgetting that we're dealing with The Weasel and as he makes the rules up as he goes along we could easily see that facility being withdrawn.

I assume with the current facility,  Basso could return at any point within that 28 day period? If he gets suspended he can't and they'll need guests and it's already be proven Lynn can't even attract guests

What facility do Lynn have? I must have missed that? I was expecting Basso to return once he started riding again?

EDIT: just seen the post. I'm surprised it didn't finish with

King's Lynn have been informed that if Mr Basso competes in any other events during this period the facility will not be extended after the 28 days and will end on the 2nd September.

As of the 2nd September, if the facility has not been extended then Mr Basso must return or be replaced.

As that's copied from what they said for Kurtz.

Some clubs get treated differently, or more to the point ONE.

Jensen isn’t interested in uk racing unless a huge financial deal could sway him so that would rule kings lynn out.

I think it was Nicolai Klindt who said the same thing on the Pride of the East podcast a few weeks ago.

The signing of Kerr could have been done 3 weeks ago which would have allowed musielak to join another British club if he so wished.
obviously done to prevent him getting another club very much like Buster hung batchelor and holder out to dry.
this is one reason why maybe it’s difficult to attract riders.

So in one move Buster has managed to take the pi$$ out of Lynn fans and every track they visit whilst also ensuring the whole league structure is weakened by blocking a rider joining a team that will be in the showcase finals

This sort of situation could jeopardise the future of TV deals and therefore the very future of the sport

The sooner he disappears the better

So Musielak saying he would come back to Lynn when fully fit.And now your saying he would join Ipswich, and people still don't think he has had his head turned.Like I said way back about gazumping.

Blimey Taps.. Tobi weakened Lynn, and " The whole league structure"  as you put it, by refusing to come back to Lynn, after saying he was keen to get back. Leaving us in the brown stuff. While in reality, he had no intention of doing so. Surely if Lynn had broke the contract Tobi would have come out and said so..  Then he wouldn't have to bull$it the Lynn fans, and maybe he wouldn't of got the ban, and you would have had him sooner. Mind you after he "weakened the whole league structure" he did try and put it right, by jumping ship to your lot asap.;)

Until Tobi comes out says who broke the contract, it will look bad on him.

Maybe he got a 28 day ban from disclosing the contract info?..:D

Must admit, I did read the SS interview on, I think, the Sunday, where he couldnt wait to return...

And by the Tuesday he wasn't coming back...!!

A strange situation..

But, it is UK Speedway where you can get banned for not getting paid and, therefore, "witholding your services" when you (quite understandably), decide, "sod this lark"....

It is ran "uniquely" as a team sport (in the UK)...

No tears here - a league title is close to worthless now as it is but is constantly further devalued by each and every action such as this

I'm not looking at it as a Witches fan but rather as a Speedway fan. There isn't much time left to get this right before it's beyond saving

Nothing wil change..

As, if it was going to, it would clearly have been done by now..

Those involved seem happy "owning a speedway team"...

With the infrastructure around it presumably an irrelevance to them based on their "somewhat dysfunctional" (:D) operating model...

And there are still some fans that actually still take it seriously, so fair play to the promoters ....;)

It's been beyond saving for 10 years.

Speedway is like WWE, just entertainment, even that's become a stretch.

It's not a serious sport, hasn't been since Sky dropped it.

Except WWE gets thousands of people turning up every week, nothing alike at all

Yes but at least the WWE knows what it it

Personally I prefer AEW but that's a totally different debate lol

The Speedway Control Bureau (SCB) were aware that King's Lynn's Benjamin Basso returned from his recent shoulder injury to represent his Polish League Club Lodz on the 3rd August 2024.

Despite Mr Basso competing in four races, he was withdrawn from his fifth heat and subsequently suffered a reoccurrence of his previous shoulder injury.

The SCB were informed on the 5th August 2024 that due to this reoccurrence shoulder injury Mr Basso would not be available to return to the King's Lynn team in their fixture versus Leicester also on the 5th August 2024 and the home fixture against Belle Vue on the 8th August 2024.

The SCB requested that a new medical certificate would be required to avoid Mr Basso receiving a suspension of his SCB Registration.

A new medical certificate was received by the SCB on the 6th August 2024.

Therefore, as Mr Basso had received this injury whilst representing his Polish Club and the SCB had received a new medical certificate, the SCB Regulation 010.5 g) would allow King's Lynn a facility for a period up to 28 days from the 5th August 2024

Kings Lynn have been informed that if Mr Basso competes in any other events during this period then that’s fine by them

As of the 12th August 2024, if the facility has not been extended then Mr Basso and Kings Lynn can do what the hell they like.

When asked why this statement differed from that put out by the SCB just six weeks earlier they responded saying “one team was from Manchester - der”
